MCCE and Karen Mooney agreed to to build a complete website for our company. We paid 1/3 of the project fee and they promised to have work done in 3 weeks. All they produced in 3 months was a few designs for the home page, and their attempts were so amateurish that we finally ended up giving them the entire design ourselves. After we supplied the design, a Matt from MCCE started calling us and asking really basic questions about what we wanted. It was crystal clear he never looked at the 7-page Project Overview, nor the 8-pages of Layout and Copy that we gave to MCCE at the beginning of the Project. He first promised that the entire site would be done the following week, then two weeks later promised it would be done in 2-3 days, then 10 days after that promised it would be done in another 2-3 days. When we finally wrote to ask "what the plan is for completing this project", explaining that our business was struggling as a result of waiting 2 months for the website, Karen replied angrily that she was stopping any further production, also claiming that she had been "paying programmers overtime this weekend". We assured her that we weren't being antagonistic, even though our inquiry stated we weren't complaining, but that we were losing money by not having the site functional and she agreed to resume and promised, once again, for us to "expect to see something positively in the next day or two". Then more promises from Matt that the site would be done by the end of week, by Monday of the following week, etc. So almost a month after she said to expect something in the "next day or two", we again tried to reach out to Karen and we wrote "Please give me the latest update. Every time I would talk with you, Matt would say you'll have the website up in a couple of days. I must of thought you said days and maybe you said months". Karen then replied that due to our "tone and tenor" that she was stopping work and that they would not finish the project. I have every piece of communication documented regarding this 3 month ordeal and am happy to share it with anyone in order to demonstrate how unprofessional this firm is. In the end we have absolutely nothing to show for our money, have no recourse for the many thousands of dollars in business lost, not to mention how much we have wasted time trying to get MCCE and Karen Mooney to produce any tangible results. Even though we gave them the materials and samples to use in designing the look of our home page, what they produced was really terrible. On two occasions, Karen even agreed that their design attempt was bad. It appeared that she never even looked at the design one of her employees did before she sent it to the customer for feedback. At one point, Karen tried to blame us for the delays, claiming that due to "disagreements or confusion on your side re-done our work multitudes of times", which is just laughable. We did cause a delay, once, for 4-5 days because we were so fed up with their poor designs that we said we would design it ourselves and give it to them. The only "re-work" they ever did was re-doing design attempts that Karen herself admitted weren't very good. I do have to admit, that Karen was generally responsive and would always assure us that things were moving forward and it certainly gave the appearance that everything was fine. But the bottom line, after 3 months we had nothing. I would warn anyone from contracting with this company and if they ever do actually produce work for anyone, based on our experience the work will be substandard. I have never submitted a complaint before, but in this case people need to be warned.
