Birthday party
I planed a birthday party for my best friends 2 year old. I booked the playplace at our local McDonalds 2 months ago. Today when I arrived to set up for the party I was informed that not only did they book a second party at the same time but they also booked another party 30 minutes later. Whose ever heard of a childs birthday party lasting 30 minutes? It took us over an hour to get any food, the playplace was so packed most of our party had to set out in the resaurant, and we were informed that they didn't have enough plates, hats, or birthday cakes for all three parties. These things are supposed to be included in the price of the party. we were not worried about the cake because I brought one along with ice cream. but because we were supposed to get plates i didn't bring these. our guests ended up eating cake and ice cream out of big mac boxes. the kids could hardly play because they were being pushed around by the older kids from the 2 other parties. and there really wasn't enough room. This party was going to be a gift for my friend and her son because the company that she worked for went under in Dec. and she lost her job and really couldn't afford to have the party herself. Now instead of feeling like I gave them a gift I feel like I gave them a headache. No one working for McDonalds said that they were sorry and all the manager did was offer to call the other McDonalds in the area to see if they could take on one of the parties and we were willing to move but he never came back to inform us of what they said. am i wrong to feel like we were cheated out of the party we were promised 2 months ago???

False advertising
I was thirsty after a hard day of work. I went to McDonalds to order sprite. I asked for a small cup. After I was finished I asked for a refill. The employee told me that those were only for medium and large cups. I told her that this was ridiculous as no where does it say this. They were so stubborn that after arguing they refused to refill my cup. They said a refill was five cents for small cups. I am a registered nurse I make 90k a year I can afford five cents but it is a matter of principle. When I worked at McDonalds they gave free refills.
Then a few days later I went back. I obeyed their stupid rule, paid extra for a medium and asked for a refill. I shared this with my ten year old daughter. We wanted one more refill. They said that we are only allowed one refill. I argued that this was false advertising. They did not give me a refill. They are so stingy.
I had to go to Kmart across the street to get my drinks. They could have gotton me arrested because I was banned from the Kmart because they falsely accused me of shoplifting. Luckily no one saw me that knew about my false accusation. I was out quick. I bought some coke, cups and ice for my daughter.
I think to make up for this bad experience I should be given free meal coupons and have the unnecessary cost of the coke, ice and cups reimbursed. You are lucky I was not charged with trespassing because than you would owe me more. I'm a registered nurse and do not need to be treated like a second class citizen.

Hair in Sandwich
This 02/08/09 Sunday morning I went thru the drive thru to get 2 Mcgriddle, in 1 of my sandwiches there was a long hair straned that i pulled out my mouth after taking a few bites. I went back to speak with the manager about the matter in a calm manner, there I noticed only one of the workers had a hit on & that was the worker that was cleaning up the area were people sit to eat. The manager came out from the back area she ask in a rude way if i have my receipt so she can give me my money back, she went to the back, credit my accout back & brought my refund receipt back, told me to sign, then after, she pick up her copy & walk away from me headed back to the back. She didnt say nothiing about the hair in the sandwich nor did she even apologize for what happened.

Dirty Playground area & equipment
The outdoor playground is disgustingly dirty, that it's fair to say it has never been cleaned. Botchy repairs on all slides and tunnels where plastic is connected looks like mud has been used to keep all connecting bits together. The rubber floor is black where original flooring is multicoloured in places where there's no thoroughfare. And thick piles of hair, dust and dirt are piled. This is unacceptable hygiene. In Alex Hills, Hungry Jacks a few times we've been there we've seen it being high pressure cleaned from top to bottom. Capalaba McDonalds professionally get your play area cleaned.

Not professional
Doesnt Matter how much you try and communicate with certain Managers they always disregard many issues,
This behaviour from paticular Managers is not acceptable, The Store Manager has Issues, She really needs to pull her hand out her ass,
How she treats many co-workers is so sad too see, when a problem needs too be discussed she thinks she has it coverd, but her stabbing in the back and how she deals with certain Issues is desgusting,
This is not fair and very unprofessional,
She needs more PR Skills
Many are desgusted and believe she needs to step down,
She talks to people and the put downs is not fair

NOT HAPPY WORKING THERE
ALL WE WANT IS A HAPPY WORKING ENVIRONMENT
I work at Mcdonalds, and I work hard,
There are some decent Managers and some that are rude and abnoxious, Treat you like shit, speak to you like your nothing, with no level of Respect, and walk around with attitude, and underminding
Expecially the Store Manager, who thinks she is better that every one eles there, , there is no one there you can talk too cos their all tight nit and if you do say something they drop your hrs its not fair we all work hard it MAKES IT VERY HARD to pull a smile for the rest of your Day when you get put down comments, and you need to smile for your customers, but when you feel put down and unconfident, I believe this behaviour from certain MANAGERS is not very professional, I dont feel safe in this work place and I will never advise any young teenagers not to join the team, this is the worst place I have ever worked at, the place is not a very nice environment or happy place to work.
People are too scared too speak up because they are too scared, they speak up about certain shifts they cant do, Expecially doing the night shifts, they get threatend "if you dont do them you will loose hours",
Now some one tell me that if this is a flexiable and honest work place to work at, well I'd say that would have to be a lie of the centuary, , , , , ,
The store Manager is always in a bad mood, always saying mean things to co-workers, and spiteful
another Manager is always raising her voice and even customers say thats not accecptable, and say "whats wrong with her doesnt she know how to talk to people" expecially the young one they dont know how to take it, and they get very upset also customers say she is very rude and blunt when they feel they have an issue to sort out.
There are no please or thank you when a job is too be done or has been successfully completed, THE MANAGERS SIT IN THE OFFICE FOR HALF HR AT A TIME TALKING AND GOSSIPING
Alot of people want too leave cos of certain situations, Unfortunaltly there is not much Employment around the Bridge,
"All WE WANT IS A HAPPY WORKING ENVIRONMENT "

the new buildings
So recently mcdonalds has updated the buildings in my area and has added two places to take your order. Now i don't know if they really thought this would be faster without having two people to take that order but they definately did not acheive it. In fact it just made it worse. Idiots do not know that going before a person does not make their order first, it actually gets you the other persons order. And it takes twice as long as it did before. I know for a fact that mcdonalds is not red lobster so when i go there i expect cheap FAST food. So whatever architect you hired or whatever DUMBASS had the brillaint idea actually. Please do us all a favor and fire his ass and get rid of the problem. If anyone is with me on this please help this problem get fixed.

Foodsafe
I would strongly advise against dining at this establishment. On numerous occasions i've witnesed MANAGERS violate health regulations, touching cash than directly preparing food. Maybe it's not public knowledge, but it is fact that there is more fecal matter and urine on money then on a public toilet. When I complained to the manager who violated the foodsafe policies, she replied by saying "we cook it it anyway" regarding putting hashbrowns in the fryer directly after touching cash. If you are going to cook it or not it's unexceptable. If you frying hamburgers is it okay you just through them on the floor first. People forget that they are serving the public. What you find exceptable at your home is fine. but don't expect the everyone else to have be subjected to your low standards. In addition, there is horrible customer service, it seems employees social lives are more important then serving the customers. Again don't eat here, if you want a burger go to splitz, at least they care about the health and safety of their customers.

Scam and stealing
I went to McDonalds drive-thru on my lunch break to buy 2 'dollar menu' double cheeseburgers and a large drink. After paying what I thought was correct at $3.33, I found that I only had one burger. I looked at the items on my receipt (not the item price yet) and found that I was only charged for one burger. I went inside and bought the second dollar item. The single dollar menu item cost me $1.40.
When I looked over both receipts I found I was charged $1.29 for each dollar menu burger plus a 'Take Out Tax' which was equal to California sales tax. Out the door I paid $4.73 for two dollar menu items and a drink.
I searched online for a take-out tax, both national and state I only found articles specifically on take out tax related to McDonalds. Other articles mentioned proposed 2% taxes on fast food. I can't find any information on an official take-out tax in California, so As a former die-hard Big Mac fan, I will not be eating at McDonalds any longer. People shouldn't have to spend their valuable time researching why a dollar item doesn't cost a dollar. I will be doing more research, In these economic times, I am watching every penny.
