McDonalds Reviews

health and safety
I have never in my 36 well traveled years of experience ever come across a restaurant so disgustingly dirty and a big hazard of public health and safety.

The McDonalds; in Walmart; in Guildford; in surrey was complete with garbage everywhere, food and dressing not even cleaned from ordering counter, not to mention the tables and floor; absolute uncaring attitude of employee service.

This restaurant would be shut down until proper staff could be found

HEAT
My husband and I went to have breakfast today, Jan. 16. We specifically went there because the other establishment we go to is usually really cold, so we chose to go to Mcdonalds instead. How Ironic!!! We got our food and sat down, it was so cold in the building we couldn't hardly eat. The seats are metal and they felt like sitting on a block of ice. There was an employee cleaning the playground. She said it was so cold out there that her fingers hurt.
When we got up that morning, it was 12 degrees outside. So you can only imagine how cold it was in a restaurant without heat. The manager said she has no control over the thermostat, that the temp is set at night at closing and it can't be changed. This is absolutely ridiculous. No one should have to sit and try to eat in such unbelievable environment. We couldn't eat fast enough, our food was cold before we could eat it, and we couldn't wait to get out of there. If you want customers, you need to provide comfortable temperatures for them while they dine. You need to rethink your procedure.

p.s. the service was good, probably the best we have ever received from there. But, we won't be back because of the cold.

Horrible experience
I was out at the local shoppes when I developed an appetite. I was more thirsty than I was hungry as I recall, but still could go for a little bite. I Ordered 2 burgers and a medium diet cola beverage. I was confused and bewildered (I am elderly) when they handed me an empty cup, but I guess these lazy whipper-snappers decided it would be cheaper and easier to make you get your own drink. I think it was some smiley faced brown-haired white-face

So that's my thanks for fighting in 2 wars. Getting my own damned drink. Well, I had originally wanted a diet cola beverage but then I saw to my surprise that iced tea was an option. I poured it with spite and took down the bitter brew. I spewed it out that instant, a cone shaped spray actually, it tasted like floor. I smelled the cup, and it smelt like mop water

I talked to "Peppe" or some strange person, they claimed it was fresh and good. I told him to smell it and he vomit wildly, in a cone shaped spray directly into the frialator.

Desperating seeking
I am so pissed off about the unemployment situation. Everyone talks about the high unemployment and I have spent the last year trying to get a job, just to be told I am over qualified. I know I am over qualified but I still am willing to work at McDonalds with my qualifications. This is just crazy. It seems to me in order to reduce the unemployment in Texas, employers should hire people who are willing to work, no matter if they leave in 2 months or not. If they hired someone who was not over qualified, who is to say if they are offered a higher paying job, they would not leave in 2 months. If this state really wants to lower unemployment, then start hiring people who need a job..

Awful company
When you give them your ATM card at the drive-thru, and state that you want debit not credit, they just run the card as credit without saying that they only do credit not debit.

I know for a fact that they take debit at the drive-thru because I have been handed the pin pad several times to enter my pin number to pay for the food.

I believe they are just lying to customers because they don't want to pay the fee that the bank would charge them for people to use their debit cards. Why don't they just charge a fee to the customer like every other business does.

Charging for condiments
We frequently visit this McDonalds and came in this evening for a meal. We placed our order and paid with a credit card. When our order was ready we asked for dipping sauce and were dismayed to find that this McDonalds is now charging $0.11 cents per container for your dipping sauce. This is outrages! What next, are you going to start charging $0.11 cents for a little packet of ketchup or maybe $0.11 cents for a lid or a straw? You are the first and only fast food restaurant I know of that charges for condiments! All I wanted was a couple of containers, in the past I would ask for sauce and your employees would give me several when I only needed one. Instead of penalizing your customers why don’t you train your employees to be more conservative when handing them out.

I can not tell you how upsetting and appalling this is to me and I will be voicing my opinion to everyone who will listen! This will include FaceBook postings to all my friends and discussions around the “free” coffee maker at work on Monday! I also plan to contact the other fast food restaurants in the area and encourage them to advertise that their condiments are still free!

No Hand Washing
I was standing in line at a McDonald's located inside a Wal-Mart on Thursday 1 January 09 to pay for a cinnamon pretzel. After I paid, I moved over to the side to wait. I then noticed a young hispanic male employee eating chicken nuggets in front of me so I was really hoping he was not going to be the one making my pretzel. After eating the 2 nuggets, he then begin to dig in his ear. He of course was the employee who would be making my pretzel. Without washing his hands, he placed the pretzel in the microwave and took it out of the microwave with his bare hands tossing it up in the air suggesting to me it was very hot coming out of the microwave. After sprinkling the butter and the cinnamon on it he gave it to the manager to give to me. I immediately told her I was not eating that pretzel after "he" was found eating nuggets and digging in his right ear. She (the manager) said something to him in Spansih that caused him to walk over to the hamburger counter and begin making another customer's hamburger. That customer heard me complain and refused to accept his order as well. Then and only then did the female manager say something in Spanish again that caused the employee to eventually wash his hands.
I will be filing a complaint to the local health department as well as the corporate office.

Ruined my order
I went to the drive through window at Mcdonalds for dinner i placed a very easy order for 2 RANCH snack wraps. I figured it would go rather quickly but it took twenty minutes to get my food and i was the only the only customer present. When I got my food I checked to make sure they had gotten everything and had no desire to check the sauce on my snack wraps. When i arrived home I opened up my food and went to eat when I realized they had put spicy barbecue sauce instead of cool ranch. I was enraged, this was not the first time they had screwed my order up and i was determined to make a face-to-face complaint but considering my ride left i had no possible way to get back to the (sucky) resteraunt. Therefor im writing this complaint only to make my point GET YOUR SHIT RIGHT BITCHES AND MAKE SURE YOU THOROUGHLY CHECK YOUR FUCKED UP EMPLOYEES!!!
