Bill McKown of McKown Properties cancelled our vacation rental and rented our week to another family. We paid our deposit in July 08 to hold our house for year 2009 and signed a contract. I was sent an email in April that our vacation was cancelled and they had rented it to another party. I confirmed that we did not cancel our reservation and would like our contract honored. There office would not honor our vacation rental for our week in June. They offered another week but I refused, we had planned for that specific week and arranged vacation time from work. I can't tell you how disappointed our family has been for loss of our special vacation. Bill McKown is not an honorable business man. Find another vacation reality in the garden city/surfside area.
