MeasureComp Reviews

Quote after quote was WRONG
I placed an order for carpet through Home Depot. MeasureComp is the company Home Depot uses to come out and measure the carpet and provide you with a quote. We are getting a plush carpet for our living room and a low pile carpet for our dining room and hallway. There were two styles for the living room that I wanted quotes on but the other room & hall were set. I gave Home Depot the carpet style and sku information when I originally placed the order with them (which is sent to MeasureComp). MeasureComp came out to measure on a Saturday and we were told that we'd get a call with the quote on Monday. They did call on Monday, however the quote was incorrect. It's almost comical how screwed up the order was. They had only one style carpet for everything. I talked to a rep from MeasureComp and explained what we were looking for, and he said he'd redo the quote and call me back later Monday. He did call but the call disconnected as soon as I answered. In my original conversation with the rep, he said he'd send the quotes for each of the two living room options. He did send a quote, but only one, and it was nothing like what I requested. It was again only ONE style of carpet for everything. We are only carpeting two rooms and a hallway. It shouldn't be so difficult. I couldn't imagine doing an entire house with this company. We didn't hear from MeasureComp, so I called them on Tuesday and spoke to another rep re-explaining what we were looking for. The quote was emailed, and unbelievable as it seems, it was wrong again! Later that evening, I was on the phone for 40 minutes with them and they said they had it figured out and would resend the quote. Once again, the quote was wrong. They had two carpets but switched them. What's frustrating is that each time I talked with someone from MeasureComp, I walked through the carpet selections with them over the phone, so why were the quotes so messed up! It's like they weren't even listening. Okay, another call to MeasureComp, I finally was able to get valid quotes and picked the quote with the living room carpet choice I wanted. I went to finalize the order on-line and the website has you check a box saying that you reviewed and agree to the seam layout as indicated in their diagram. I looked at the diagram and the seam layout was running through the middle of the living room floor. No joke. I even asked the guy that came out and measured about seams and he said that they put them in areas with as little traffic as possible. Not so in our case. It ran right between the couches and TV. So I was back on the phone with MeasureComp. They fixed the seam layout (which, by the way, was less yardage, thus less money than the first layout ) and resent the quote. The seam was corrected, but guess what, they sent the wrong quote (it was the living room carpet style I opted against). Oh my goodness! I called this morning and supposedly it was corrected. I reprinted the quote and layout diagram and everything looks okay, but I have to tell you I'm very worried about placing this order. I called Home Depot and asked for them to help me finish the order and make sure everything is correct. The guy at Home Depot was happy to do so, however, he had to call MeasureComp to get the latest quote because the one he had in their system was one of the incorrect ones. He called back and had MeasureComp on the line. The guy from Home Depot was reviewing the order with me, and you'd never believe it...or maybe by now you would...but the order was NOT CORRECT! Thus far, I have 12 quotes from MeasureComp emailed to me for a living room (with two possible style choices) and dining room / hallway (with carpet and style decided from the get-go). The guy from Home Depot got the square yardage for the rooms from MeasureComp and is recreating the quote in the Home Depot system so I can complete and pay for the order through them. I was told that MeasureComp does not install the carpet; they just measure. If they did install, it would be an even bigger nightmare. Home Depot should not associate with MeasureComp. It gives them a bad name.

Extremely rude service rep
Tile flooring from Home Depot installed in kitchen, laundry room & two bathrooms over three weeks ago. MeasureComp had done the measuring and overcharged Home Depot by approx $800. Two boxes of tiles returned to Home Depot for credit (approx $150). Home Depot won't credit our account until MeasureComp issues refund to them. Called MeasureComp 800-248-8982, option 4 (chargeback) to try to expedite the matter. Service rep, who wouldn't give his name, was EXTREMELY RUDE. He said the matter was between us and Home Depot and I shouldn't even be calling MeasureComp. He even had the audacity to ask if Home Depot had asked me to call (they didn't).
