I was in a car accident on 2007 and went to the emergency room. The hospital was given my insurance card which I KNOW payed 100% fo emergency room visits. I lived colse to the hospital and never received any bills from them or any doctors. About a year later I was contacted by Medclear requesting payment of $180 ER visit debt.

I told them I would pay the hospital directly but they said that because it was in collection it could not work that way. I contacted the hospital and they said that they did not see any outstanding balance!

I called Medclear again requested a copy of the bill asnd they sent me a bill which was nothing more than thier letterhead with amount due of $180. (So they obviously had my correct address). I called them back and clarified that I wanted a copy of the HOSPITAL bill which Medclear gave me alot of grief about having to do. I told them ANYTHING with my SIGNATURE on it and I would pay the bill!

Months went buy and I didn't think twice about it till Medclear called again wanting the $180. When I reviewed the request I made with them I was told that the letter "was returned due to an invalid address" which I know was a lie! It was the same address they had sent their phony bill to! They tried to pressure me into paying them over the phone but I refused. Eventually they agreed to send the Hospital bill again... of course it never came.

Now I check my credit report and there they are! $180 non-payment of debt! I'm furious! In my opinion this is one big scam! They are rude, obnoxious, condesending, jerks and scam artists. They should be shut down! There should be some way of recovering the damage they have caused to my credit rating! As far as I am concerned they will NEVER see one DIME of the $180 I "OWE" them, I would rather take the hit on my credit report. I simply won't do business with anyone that uses anything associated with Medclear or acknowledges them in any way as a legitimate business.

SHUT THESE SCAM ARTISTS DOWN !
