slow service total disregard for Dr and patient
My dr. sent in two prescriptions to Medco. A week later Medco sent me an email that the Dr. had to answer questions about Victozo and Lantus. My Dr. never received the fax or email from Medco. I asked my Dr. to write another prescription and it has been a week with out my medicine. Total disregard for diabetic patients. BEWARE!! Do not let your company make you use Medco.

prescription denial
After being on a precription for disc problems and Fibromyalgia, Medco has decide over the Doc's orders that I can't have my medication on the day prescribed. My health is bad and after being hospitalized, I had the occasion to have my script filled early, which the Doc knows that I also have to travel 60 miles for my meds. (Country person) This time I will have traveled 200 miles for 1 bottle of meds. Thank goodness I have'nt trusted to their mail service. This medicine also warns of serious withdrawals - you would think a medical company wouls know this!!

RE: Scaling Back for Success

Dear Mr. Snow,

My name is Jeff Grosz; I am a former employee of Liberty Medical Supply who is also a member of your “Scaling Back for Success program.” And I want to share with you how I was treated and humiliated. On Friday, February 4, 2011 while I was on a conference call I noticed that Chris Maffei’s Executive Administrative Assistant was calling me, so I sent her an e-mail and said that I am on a conference call, how can I help you; the reply I received was Chris needs you to end your conference call now and come over to his office; I ended my call and proceeded to his office. When I arrived in his office Mr. Dingle was present, I sat down and was told, as you know Medco is moving towards shared services; therefore, your position with the company is being eliminated today, thank you for your hard work and services, and now we need your badge, and Willis will go over some paperwork with you. Nice way to be treated isn’t it.

Are you surprised yet, or is this the way you tell your people to carry out this task? Well, regardless allow me continue. After reviewing my paperwork with Mr. Dingle I was told I can not return to my desk to get my personal belongings so we will have security get those items for you, you can leave now or join us in the conference room when we tell your team that they too will be terminated today, I decided to join everyone in the conference room so I can be there for my team while they are given this terrible news without a minutes notice, and to provide support, and wish them well. Of course on my way to the conference room I was escorted by representatives from HR, and security as if I was some criminal, or someone who would cause trouble, what a good feeling David, made my day. Along the way to the conference room, I stopped to say goodbye to some people that I worked with, and wished them well; of course I was told to hurry because we are on a schedule, I guess they couldn’t wait to tell the others. Needless to say they were ignored, I worked with a lot of good people, and you think some HR clerk was going to tell me to hurry, and not allow me to say goodbye, and thank you? At this point what did I have to loose.

Prior to leaving, I was provided with a list of job openings that I could apply for, I would have thought that with nearly five years of hard work, dedication, and providing excellent customer service, I would have been offered a position, I guess I should have known better. I sent three e-mails, and left one voice message with Mr. Dingle that I was interested in four positions; finally I received a reply only to be told that a mistake was made, those positions are only for internal employees; you think I would have been given the option to apply for a position while I was still with the company, but I should have realized that this is the way Medco/Liberty treats people. I am so thankful that it turned out this way, as I am thrilled with not being part of the Liberty/Medco organization.

I would think by now that Liberty shirts no longer have “Liberty Pride” on the shirts, as “Liberty Pride” was taken away years ago when Medco acquired Liberty, you don’t believe me?, then send out a survey and ask one question, Is there Liberty Pride at Liberty, yes or no? I bet I can tell you what the survey will show, and you know it too, a big NO.

Or are you and the management team afraid to hear the truth, and too focused on your corporate greed, and sending jobs to India. Maybe you and your team need to take a few steps back and take a look at the organization, talk to the employees because there are so many miserable people at Liberty, unfortunately the job market isn’t strong right now, or a lot of people would be gone.

Sure you have an obligation to the organization, and to the shareholders, and some business decisions are difficult at times; however, I don’t have a problem with the fact that I was laid off, it’s the way the situation was mishandled. I saw this coming two weeks prior when Vincent Bonetti and Sam Savornic came to visit and asked a lot of obvious questions, and had difficulty looking me in the eyes when they were talking to me, again greedy sneaky people on the Medco/Liberty team.

Who do you think you are to treat reliable, loyal, energetic, organized, professional people in the manner in which you do? Is that the way to treat someone? How would you like to be humiliated the way I was? I was treated like last weeks trash, thanks David.

I’m not an ungrateful person, and I do appreciate the severance package, and I realize I could have walked away with nothing; however, I earned it. Also, I wish Medco was as quick to process my Cobra as quickly as you cancelled my benefits. You caused me nothing but aggravation, my medical bills for my doctor’s visits were denied, my respiratory equipment, and prescriptions were rejected. Maybe next time you terminate people have a little consideration, talk about slamming the door on someone’s face, maybe you will have the opportunity to experience what I went through.

I hope this letter and any other letters you may receive leaves knots in your stomach, and maybe someday you will realize how your greed and the greed of the corporation effects the lives of hard working, dedicated individuals and their families, so enjoy your “Scaling Back for Success” program and continue to make your millions, and the billions for the corporation, while scaling back and sending jobs to India to save a buck or two. You have a lot of two faced, back stabbing, sneaky executives at Liberty/Medco, and you are the ringleader Mr. Snow. Maybe someday when you’re sitting alone your conscience will get the best of you, and you will come to realize that money isn’t everything.

Sincerely,

Jeff Grosz

Unable to fill prescritions
I ordered medications on May 3, 2011 online and had 3 pending prescriptions. On May 4 my doctor indicates that they responded to Medco's request. On May 13 Medco cancels the order and removes the reorder availability from my online account. I call customer service what a joke, person is like reading from a script and offers no assistance. Blames me and my doctor for their failure to provide the service they are contracted to provide. So far all I get from them is excuse after excuse. Medco should not be in the mail order prescription business if they can not provide the service effectively and efficiently. Worst service provider I have ever dealt with in my entire life.

Incompetent
I must take a drug to prevent seizures. Medco said they mailed it three weeks ago but I don't believe it.

I have since talked to four representatives including two supervisors and the meds have still not been made up and shipped out.

They feign helplessness, when really, how hard is it to make up a prescription and get it in the mail, or in this case, so close to running out thanks to them, put it in a Fedex box?

My warning is to be vigilant as to the shipping of your medicine by checking online, and ask to speak to a supervisor if not satisfied, even then, stay on them closely until you receive your medicine. Don't trust them.

Scam
I was checking my bank account and saw that I had been charged by Medco for a prescription I did not order. They refuse to do anything but apologize and say they can't do anything about it. I had not been on line with them in 4 months and they say I was, it is so frustrating because I know what I order and when.At least my credit card company is helping me to dispute it and has taken the charge off for now. No more medco for me, I will stick with a real pharmacy, it is not worth the headache.

Changing prescription quantity
Medco robo called me that they were increasing my prescription quantity UNLESS I called then back by 6pm the next day. When I tried to connect to a live person, the robo voice said, ' No one is available." This was a Thursday night. If I had not called by Friday, they would not have even tried to process my prescription until Monday! The Medco supervisor at first lied to me that I would recieve my order in seven days. Then 'Eddie' admitted that it would only ship in seven days after THEY submitted it for processing. Medco would have taken 12 days to ship a simple 30 day prescription. THANK GOD for RITE AID. Medical Mutual of Ohio extends the same discounts to Rite Aid as to MEDCO. I Cancelled my MEDCO prescription.

Medco sucks
Medco quoted me $20 for a generic prescription, but when the bill came after the dugs were delivered, they wanted $120. when i called them, i was told it was my doctor's fault for not submitting the proper prescription. when i called my doctor, they assured me they submitted the correct generic prescription.
Even if Medco wasn't lying, when they give you a quote it means NOTHING. they won't call you if the quote has changed, they won't call you if the prescription you have a quote for doesn't match the one the doctor called in. if a doctor calls in a prescription for you, you have to pay for it even if you have not been consulted. I can't think of a business in this country that operates on these principles. I'm not a lawyer, but it sounds like fraud to me.
btw, it seems all of MEDCO's customer service seems to be outsourced to India and there is no way to escalate the calls. The only way to officially complain to their management is to send a letter via snail mail.
Oh, if there is any doubt about what these con-artists are doing with your money i just googed "MEDCO ceo" and found this:
"Pharmacy benefits manager Medco Health Solutions Inc. said even though its CEO took a 7 percent pay cut in 2009, he still received $13.3 million in total compensation, according to Associated Press calculation of figures filed with regulators."

Trying to intimidate MD into prescribing less medication
Medco sent my MD a letter informing him of their dosing considerations. Suggested a dose may exceed recommendations. Please consider risks versus benefits and determine if changes in therapy warranted. Then sent a list of medications. I have been on these medications for a long time with no problems. Also letter stated you (MD) were identified as prescriber of record. Then, to try to cover themselves they state this presents as information only. The MD then just reduced medicines to avoid the hassles of dealing with Medco. I called Medco and was told that ultimately RX is up to MD but they are trying to reduce costs and get MD to prescribe less per month. I was then referred to a "physician consultant" who was beyond rude. She did say that Medco has sent out a large number of these letters and would not provide me a copy of the letter. For MD eyes only. I got a copy of my letter and guess what was at the bottom in big letters DO NOT REPRODUCE. This is the second time in 2 years Medco has tried to dictate my treatment. I feel the MD and only the MD should decide patient treatment. Not a "physician consultant".
