Medco has no customer support whatsoever. If your insurance company switches you to Medco - make a complaint. This company officers no support whatsoever.
We has seen numerous errors where Medco refused to pay, even when the policy booklet says they should. We spent 2 hours talking to customer service, our companies Human Resources even tried to get involved and the issue was NEVER resolved!! We just ended up paying the $900.00 worth of prescriptions. We were disconnected and no one ever tried to call us back...and yes they should have. We called again and they refused to tansfer you to anyone! So you would have to start you complaint process all over again. The customer service reps cannot/will not resolve anything for you and pretty much just tell you "that is what our system is saying" and that is that...!!
Why even pay for RX if you have to have this company!!
Medco seems to work with the Human Resources department at companies, but unfortunately if you are a retiree and your company is not around to assist you there is no recourse for complaints or assistance with MEDCO.
My advice: STAY AWAY FROM MEDCO.
I am also going to give - VERY HIGH praise to some of the pharmacy people at Scott's Pharmacy in Fort Wayne, IN for excellent customer service...AND also very high praise to Clinic Pharmacy in Toledo, OH for their excellent assistance with drug claims.
