FRAUD FRAUD
I went to this medvance and held a 4.0 plus deans list honor roll for 11 months with only 6 months left of internship to go as well and I watched a whole class go down due to changeing teachers . teachers leaving for unethical reasons excuses made for them. I can only say this if someone says they had a bad exsperience there its probally true. I wish I wouldnt have wasted 10, 000 on this place because now its just another bill to pay. I learned that this place is NOT where you want to go. I could say more but I dont wnat to waste my time . Just wanted to say anyone who claims to have had a bad deal with this place is telling the truth. I get tired of reading that they just did not want to study or they were lazy etc. The people that complain are telling thier experiance and it wasnt good. If it was they wouldnt be here talking. I was a perfect student and I finally had enough of the unsavory practices and just quit to keepthem form getting anymore money from me for nothing . Good luck if you choose this place. I would go somewhere else that also offers transfers of credit this place doesnt. And after all your hard work that sucks

human relations
I responded to an ad for a HVAC Instructor's position that my wife had seen online for Med Vance. I called and spoke with Linda in HR and she asked if we could meet at 5 pm on Thursday because I work full time and we agreed. Linda gave me specific instructions to bring my EPA card, College transcripts and Current clean Resume which I did. I got a little lost and called Linda for directions and was directed to the facility easily and she was happy to talk to me. I arrived at the facility and was greeted by the receptionist and I told her I was here to see Linda. She immediately asked me to fill out an application, so I asked for a location to do so and she said she didn't have a table so instead she gave me a clipboard. Now that doesn't seem all that out of the ordinary and I was willing to comply and it is a state requirement in addition for all new hires to do so. I filled in the pertinent fields regarding name, soc sec # address, etc and wrote please see resume as appropriate. As I have a large history and a 5 pm appointment with Linda I felt that I needed to talk to Linda briefly about the job as I did not have the full description or Salary range etc..and i may be wasting mine and their time. Well I was initially refused and was told that in order to see the HR person whom I had be talking to over the phone, , company policy dictated that I must fill out the application completely. I said ok but I would need a table to complete it properly and I was accommodated. I thought about it and since I didn't know much about the job I humbly returned the partially filled out application and said thank you but I don't think I want to apply for a job I know very little about. At that point the receptionist said 'Wait Wait Ill see if I can get Linda' I agreed to wait.. Linda finally comes out to talk with me in the front and begins to explain about the application and company policy... I interrupt her because I just wanted to ask about the Job description and salary range before we went any further. She quickly became rude and said 'at this point I won't be even be considering you as a candidate'. This was in front of everyone in the waiting room.. I was horrified and said fine thank you for your time and left. I know some of you will agree with Med Vance on this but think for a second she wasted my time driving 35 minutes and not telling me 3 days prior about the application which she could have emailed or faxed and the fact that after we talked so nicely on the phone she would be so rude publicly to me. I think that this shows that the Human Resources department could use so new hires.

Unfair complaints lodged against company
Once again you are allowing Trevor Allen and Shareholders Foundation to post serial, business-fishing complaints against a series of schools (Career Education Corp. Heald College, Everestt, Capella & American Military University) THAT ARE POSTED TO THE SITE FOR MEDVANCE COMPLAINTS because the author is adding boilerplate information about a Florida AG probe into schools. MedVance is mentioned in that copy - HOWEVER, NONE OF THESE COMPLAIN POSTINGS ARE AGAINST MEDVANCE. THESE SIX NEW POSTINGS FROM 1/18/11 DO NOT BELONG ON THE MEDVANCE SITE. This is an ongoing problem. You need to be more vigilant in clearing posts by the Shareholders Foundation.

Disorganized Administration
I tried to overlook the complaints regarding this school, as I am a true optimist. So I interviewed for an Admissions Representative for the Cookeville campus. The Admissions Director (Rick) was a very nice man, though he was new, and the other Admissions Representative I interviewed with seemed to be a nice lady as well. The school's Campus Director (Shirley) seemed to be a nice lady as well, so I thought that perhaps the complaints about the school were just insignificant issues that had been blown out of proportion. That was until today (Friday) when I was called be a newly appointed National Admissions Director (Jordeena). She seemed a bit distant (literally as well - she was in PA...we are in the South). I had received a verbal offer of $35k 2 days ago over the telephone by the man whom I would have been working for. Of course, that was while this campus was under another man as their National Admissions Director (I had spoken with him over the holidays as well, while he was vacationing in Hawaii - he was nice, too). So, after speaking with this woman over the phone this morning and taking a random test of choosing words...you know, one of the many "sales" tests that we have all had to take over the years... that she emailed me, this evening I receive a "Thanks but No Thanks" letter emailed from the guy who had given me a verbal offer 2 days ago!!! I was waiting for a few questions I had to be answered before I accepted this position! And thank GOODNESS I had not submitted my resignation to my current employer! I saw this as a new opportunity and new career (I am starting an online MBA later this month after being destroyed by the Real Estate Market -- I was a Real Estate Broker and am looking for a new direction OUTSIDE of Real Estate). This was going to be a longer drive than my current position more than double), and equal pay once those expenses were taken out, but I saw it as something to build on. So, who makes an offer then sends a no thank you letter in an email after speaking every couple of days and talking about looking forward to the next step??? I guess the new National Admissions Director either had a friend she wanted in the position, or is power hungry and wanted to make the decision on the new hire for a campus that she is HUNDREDS of miles AWAY from! And, I have also learnedthat they have had quite a bit of turnover at that campus, both in staff and students! I do believe that the current Admissions Director could turn the campus around, but I seriously doubt that he will be given the chance with the new boss. I feel sorry for him for this.
So, if you ever apply for a job at this campus, or at any Medvance campus, be sure to get it ALL in writing! And be sure that you have been interviewed by everyone before you accept!!! And again, get all of it in writing!!! Do NOT submit your resignation to your existing employer before you have your offer in stone!!!

disorganized
So I am still at medvance an this school is shit.. they are not organized, rip you of thousands of dollars, allow anyone to attend, including drugys. I was in class with a girl who was hooked on meth. Half the class was potheads and people who never attened class are still passing. I had to find my own extern site becaause the school has such a bad name. If I would have known 8 months ago I would be 12, 000 dollars in debt an end up homeless; I would have never signed up for this. Kelli

Horrible
OK lets Start with the fact that on the day of our orientation (just 3-4 days before our classes were to begin) we were told when and where our classes were to begin causing a lot of headaches for working people because the classes started in the middle of the day. I was told that my classes wouldnt transfer but when they did I was told I either could retake the classes at medvance or use the credit that i already had which would put me out of financial aid and i would have to pay several thousand dollars out of pocket for that semester. There was a man that they allowed in class who had a issue with touching women and being very aggressive. He had been fired from his former job for being caught with a female patient and yes they were pulling his license. But good ol medvance decided to let him in the program where he was very physical and lewd towards most of the females in the class. He finally got expelled after having a public physical altercation with me and threatening to grab another students breast because she wouldnt do what he wanted her to do. when class was ending I was told that I owed them $11, 000 and could not graduate until it was paid. Yeah I hate Nashville Medvance.

a rip off!
what a mess! The Director of Education and the campus director both had their kids in RT school with me. When the ed directors daughter showed up you'd better kowtow to her majesty(when she showed up).
Grades were rigged(FOR THE KIDS BUDDIES), I was charged back several thousand dollars because the financial aid people were not competent. Cheating was rampant, you got the answers if you were buddies
with the kids. after 18 months (three fourths of the assoc. degree course I was expelled..no warning no reason..except I had put in writing my complaints about the rigging for the bosses kids. I'd heard bad things ahead of time but, my ..my..my..never in my wildest dreams did I believe they could all be true... twenty grand down the hole.Don't even think about going to medvance!
