The magazine's a good one, but the customer disservice people are snotty and rude! I'm an administrative assistant for a professional organization, and we got a phone call offering us a free subscription. They asked for my previous boss, who had retired. I politely explained that she was no longer with the organization and asked if I could help with anything. The rep stated his business, and I offered to give him my contact information, saying I would route the magazine to my boss. Well, the rep demanded to speak to my boss. I fibbed and stated she was on another call (I try to avoid routing sales calls to her if I can deal with them myself), and asked if he could leave me contact information. He hung up on me.
In his defense, he was probably calling from an overseas call center and no doubt doesn't understand what a receptionist's function is in the States. Still, it was rude.
