i went to meineke on the 11/4/10 to get a brake replacment .they said they would give me a good estimate and take the jobif we could come to a agreement on th price.while waiting in the office another couple came in and said to the desk man that they just paid 600.oo dollars on to get there brakes done and that their brake padel had to be pushed all the way to the floor for the vehicle to stop.this was only one month later.I could see the people were upset, the desk man went outside with the peoples car keys and put the car on the lift.while he was gone the wife said to me don't leave your car herebecause they have a scam herecausing extra work and overcharging the greement price.this was very disturbing to me.at that time the desk mancame back and was figuring out my price.then the young machinic came back to the office and said to the couple that the car was a set and then he said to the couple that there car needs to be flush out for another 200.00 dollars and they said that they will take it to another car place that they will not be scam out of money like this company.And then i went outside and the lady said agaain don't leave your car here because they will make your car unsafe to drive and after the machinic call and said to me they break something on the jeep and to replace it it will cost another 200.00 dallors and i was very upset because they break something on the jeep and it was not my fault.so i was very upset and i said fix my jeep and i will come and get it.and i will bring the police with me because i was so upst that i was yelling at the machinic because he said my jeep will not be fix into tomorrow which is 11/5/10 and i had to call my girlfriend because i thought i was going to have a problem with this machanic.so when we pick a the jeep the brakesgo right to the floor so i can drive my jeep so i called then back after i pick up the jeep and they say i need my front ones done so i said to the i will get so one else to do the job.

Very unsatisfied with the poor and awful service that I received on my last visit. First of all I brought my van in for a prefered customer oil change (the usual) that includes brake check and fluid top off (at least that what the ad says) So I dropp off my car and about 2hours later a get a call form the guy at the shop to let me know that my car was ready but that one of the lug nuts and stud had broke when they where taking off the rim. #1MISTAKE: As far as I know if they brake soemthing aren't they responsible? Well as far as I know if they would've called me an told me hey you know yout rim lug nut is loose or weak and might brake if we try to take it off and I would've said that it was ok for them to proceed then it would've been my fault. But the only call I got from them was to let me know that they had broke it and that I had to pay for the parts and labor to get it fixed (which was going to cost me $80.00!) IF I wanted to get it fixed. Ok, so I come in to get my van and explain that I have to go get my daugter at school so they tell me that I can take the van like that and bring it back later if I want them to fix it but that they dont have the parts there so that if I wanted I could go and buy them from the Chrysler dealer. So I go and pick my dauhter up from school and then run tho the dealer and get the parts (out of my pocket) So I buy the parts and go back to the shop and tell me I have the parts. Again I ask them that since that was some thing they did that they should be responsible for getting it fixed. Again they say no. Now I'm not sure if they were treating me like this just because they saw me by myself with my two girls, but whatever the reason is I'm still very upset by the situation. So about three days later I start to hear and awful sound whenever I'd hit the brakes. BUT according to meineke they had checked my brakes as a "courtesy inspection" Obviously that wasnt the case. So I took my car to a DIFFERENT shop and they showed bow bad my brakes were and couldn't believe meineke didnt say anyhting. Well I know why, becaus ethey never even checked them. Not only that but this morning as I was drving my daugyter to school my dashborad began to alert me that it was overheating! Why? Becuase it had no coolant so I pop open the hood to find that the coolant container was completely empty. Therefpre that sure tells me that meineke never checked my brakes and never topped off the fluids! I'm very disappointed I expected so much more from a place like meineke. Just if youre wondering my van is under the 100, 000 miles and I'm the type of person that likes to get there vehicle serviced every 3, 000 miles. I wasn't going to say anything about the first inccident but then when I noticed they had never checked my brakes I began to heat up and then his morning when I noticed my fluids hadnt been topped off...well that did it.I've been calling the customer service number but no one answers.

I took my car into MEINEKE CAR CARE CENTER located @ 2424 Plainfield Rd. Crest Hill, IL for a simple oil change, coolant & transmission flush on Friday Aug 6, 2010 @ 10:30 am. I paid for my services went home & could not open my driver door. I called back to Meineke spoke with Bryan the manager & told him they broke my drivers door that I could not open it form the inside & had a hard time opening it from the outside & that the fluids they had installed in my car was running out on the ground. He stated that the fluids was probably from the drip pan under the car. He proceeded to tell me to hold on while he speak to the tech that worked on my car. Bryan came back & told me that the tech said my door was already like that. I told him that was not true. I have pictures I had taken of my car 0n July 30, 2010 all my doors was working just fine. I also have witnesses that can & will attest that I had no problem with my car fluids or the doors.
Bryan had me bring my car back Sat. they took the door a loose & said the cable had snapped. He proceeded to tell me how much it was going to cost. I told him they broke it so they were going to pay for it & he said he wouldn't. MY DOORS WAS FINE WHEN I TOOK MY CAR IN.

I just needed a simple front brake repair and an emissions problem resolved to keep my car going for a few more months. I explained this very clearly when I dropped the car off. They called me about five hours later with a laundry list of items that are wrong with the car, trying to sell me on additional repairs. Again, I explained that I just need the two things repaired. They call me back an hour later with a quote of $884!!!

I picked up my car and took it to another garage. They fixed the front brakes and my emissions problem in one hour and the bill was $153.74.

Here’s the worst part! Meineke charged me $90 for diagnosing my car! That’s right; I had to pay them $90 for trying to rip me off. Do Not Go to this garage!!!

I went to meineke one day, my car was running fine just overheating. The guy ran a diagnostic and told me it would cost 1500 to fix everything it would cost me 1500 dollars. WTF are you crazy. I deny it and of course he still charge me a diagnostic fee of 100 bucks. As he is looking for my keys one of the techs slide me a card and says call me. I thought he was hitting on me, but when I looked at the card it was his business card. LONG STORY SHORT. I went with him to an automotive store let me purchase all my parts which came out to two hundred bucks which when we compared the diagnostic sheetmeineke was charging 600 for WTF WTF WTF AHHHHHH. And of course he charged me a fee of two hundred bucks. He told me about how meineke marks up their parts by 20% each part and then slack off on their labor to make you pay more, for which is 90 bucks an hour for example a two hour job they request four or five. I love it because I screwedMeineke.
