Horrible Customer Service
I have had Mels Pool Service for about 2 years and ran into a recent situation where my was not cleaned for 3 weeks. I have an agreement that they perform a weekly full service for chemical and cleaning service on my pool. I called Mels pool service and spoke with Mels wife, Terri. When i told her what was going on she disagreed and in so many words called me a liar. She stated that her employee, Mike would never miss a stop on his route. I explained to her that i spend time nightly on my patio and there was palm tree debree in the pool and a yellow build up and the service card was not signed and my wife, who is always home when they service the pool, never had sight of them for 3 weeks. She didnt care to hear me out and started arguing with me, i then told her i would be terminating their service effective immediately and where i am from the customer is always right. I mailed a letter to them also stating i was termintaing service and she called me at my office the day she recieved my letter to argue with me further, and to continue to insult me by stating that i am making this up because i cannot afford the service and then hung up on me. I was completely beside myself when this happened. I couldnt believe that the company i was paying for 2 years was doing this to me. I would not recommend their service to anyone. I also called up another local company immeditaely to replace them to only find out that i have also been overpaying for this service for the past 2 years, the new company is about 20% cheaper.
