I was called by Merchant Referral Services they said they were looking for people who were willing to work from home and could work 3 to 5 hours a week making appointments for their sales people. Not one time did they say anything about being in business for my self. I thought they wanted someone who could make appointments for them. When I asked them what the $499.00 was for they told me it was for them to set up the back office for me to get the referrals and for training. I could make money for every appointment that signed up with them and receive a percentage on a monthly basis as well from each account. they was also a 19.95 maintenance fee. which is deducted from your check. I asked if i could get my money back if it wasn't for me I was told by the sales person yes.
When I received my folder with the information and watched the first DVD I called them to tell them this is not what I signed up for and would not have signed up if I new it was a business. Elizabeth (coach) even agreed with me that some of people were not representing the company well. I had to listen to her for an hour telling me how she could make this work for me. I explained to her why I wouldn't have signed up if I new it was a business. She finally said that she would send it up the channels to process my refund.
I received a phone call from them again one Thursday morning (about two weeks ago) I told them I didn't have time to talk a had an appointment. She said she like to talk to me about how I could make this work for me. I told her I had to get to my appointment but we could talk later.
I never heard from them again. So today Nov.18 2009 I called them again. To find out why I haven't heard anything else from them or haven't received my refund and was told that I agreed to keep working with them. I told them again I had no interest in working with them and reminded them howthey misrepresented themselves to me. I was told I agreed to pay a one time fee. I told them don't sign me up If I couldn't get my money back. Today I was told I would not get my money back and I must sign a form to cancel the 19.95 monthly.
Maybe some people have been successful with them good for them. My complaint is and will be they misrepresented themselves to me. Other articles say they want to work with you What that means is they want to help you make this business work for you And well if it doesn't well its your fault. Another article says and I quote " We realize every so often a customer may become confused, feel disappointed or believe that we have not met their expectations."
Or threaten you and I quote "If you have posted any negative statement, we recommend that you take the necessary steps to remove or retract those comments immediately. This will help avoid our company from possibly taking legal action against you. Please understand that our main goal is to work with you.
BE VERY CAREFUL.
