loan modification sham
I too have been thru 9 + months of trying to get a loan modification and had the same experience, lost financial info or continuous requests for financials, refusal to accept payment, demand letters all after an initial 3 trial of 3 mos completed successfully. I contacted the Hope Hotline ( who I was referred to when I contacted TARP to report a loan modification fraud) tel 888-995-4673. They initially told me the modification was to have been done by 6 mos and the amount was not to exceed 31% of my income...'they were not in compliance..." They sent a letter to 'escalate the loan' and I was told MetLife had 30 days to reply. 32 days later I contact Hope and was told 'they did not have a reply and it was going to the supervisor bec now MetLife was in violation with the Treasury. I called 3 days later and was told everything I was told was incorrect...'those rules do not apply... I became very angry and said "who can you help? there are no teeth in this program!" It's been nearly 2 months since I initially contacted Hope. I had hopes they could help... that remains to be seen...I'll keep you posted...G

Consumer Harassment
METLIFE Home loans - my update - LOOKiNG for partners in class action lawsuit I am serious and have the desire to retain counsel . This company has been horrid . the is fraud and need to have legal due process to make it stop.
This company has been devious and is not transparent . I agreed to drop out of the Keeping Homes Affordable Program after two years of non responsive and drawn out steps I agreed in writing repay the difference of the amount between a temp modification,
Latest news -MY experience is that they are continuing harassing me. despite my timely repayments all per amount and with cashiers check at the exact specified amount as per an agreed upon repaymetn schedule . I have confirmed the reciept of the payments. I continue to receive certified letters that demand more additional money . They do not send me out a written statement when I call consumer service after I request that they clarify, and then do this nutty stuff . All within the space of less than a month . I am concerned that if they are doing this to me, it is happening elsewhere. Plus they are taking money from the feds and trying to force people out of their properties illegally using this tactic.
The information is unclear and conflicting with letters from the same company of only two week before .
In a nutshell I am simply trying to repay them as per the agreed amount. and resume my original mortgage before this nightmare began . They will not speak in English and continue to send out these harassment letters, despite a record of repayment an excellent credit history In my case Over 11 years with no missed payments I think they are trying to steal . DO YOU WANT TO CONTACT THE STATE ATTORNEY office in your state to complain about METLFE ?? Speak out! This is more than I ever bargained for when I signed up for this program and it is in my mind an organized crime approach targeting the consumer . KEEP AND MAINTAIN ALL YOU RECORDS,

Loan Modification
I have been waiting for my loan modification to take place for over two years now.. I had to almost file bankruptcy as well in order to stop a foreclosure sale on my home in 2008. I completed a forbearance plan and I was told my loan would be submitted for a modification. I have sent in financial over and over again with other supporting documents. I have never been denied. They even asked me if they can send an appraiser over to look around inside my home. I asked why via email and I got no response. They even lied to me telling me that Fannie Mea owns my loan when I asked them. I have sent numerous emails to the processor and sent emails through the First Horizon login page and I'm told to call in. The processor always likes for us to speak via phone so there isn't any correspondence to prove what we discussed. He just keeps telling me he's sorry for the delay. He seems to be a nice guy. I know they must have a lot of folks to help but it seems like no one is really getting the help they need, based on the complaint filed. I try to get the employee number or names when I make contact so that I have records. I really think they are trying to let my balance bill up so they can try to foreclose on my home again. They don't send any monthly statements, I just don't trust them and I'm terrified at this point. I'm willing to join in on a suit. I call for a updated every two weeks and I'm told its still under review for two plus years wow. How are they getting away with this. I even went to NACA and they were no help. Are there any state officials in GA that can help?

Mortgage modification
In June of 2009, I requested a home loan modification application from MetLife Home Loans. To date, my application has not been processed. I have sent in six modification packages(two of the packages were sent certified mail). They sent me two letters stating that they received my packages and they were waiting to be assigned to a servicer. The last package that I sent was inAugust of 2010. Today(November 1, 2010), I was told I needed to resend the entire package over again. MetLife needs to be held accountable. They are destroying the lives of many people. We need to have find out how we can file a class action law suit. MetLife has no knowledge of the mortgage industry. So we as homeowners need to take a stand. They have incompetant employees who lie and hang up on you.
WE HAVE TO TAKE A STAND!!!
