Caused thousands of dollars of damage
Called 6/19/2010 and was told I had rain seepage in my finished basement. Argued for half and hour and then gave up. 7/8/2010 I called again and asked for an adjuster to come out. Same rain BS. I told the first nonresponder I was hiring a contractor and ripping open the wall and finding the leak. Carpet, fireplace, furniture, entertainment center all ruined. Contractor found water main leak. Charged $2000 to fix. Dry wall has 3 foot high and 50 foot long of mildew. I called MetLife and they sent an independant adjuster who was exchanging cards with my contractor. I said I wanted appraisal. Never received anything. Today I get a check for $2000 so everything is ruined and I paid to find problem fix it, remove drywall, carpet pad, furniture and entertainment center. Secondary supervisor adjuster said I called 6/19/2010 and said water was pouring in through windows. NO WINDOWS IN BASEMENT!!! So first resonder lied and documented it. I asked that a copy of the report be sent to me. He doesn't know if he can do that. Lies! Lies! Lies! 15 years of paying homeowners and this type of treatment. I have a bad heart. Pacemaker/defibulator etc. I go every 90 days for test just to stay alive and MetLife put me through a living Hell for over a month now. Still not one MetLife employee has been here. I hope I have pictures before that don't have people in them because I will post the after. MetJoke Homeowners. Stay away.

Scam and cheating
We have had Metlife home owners insurance for over 15 years . Never have we filed a claim. Insurance paid out of escrow faithfully. Then sends us a letter, that due to overwelming cost from storms, they must cancel Florida's homeowners. I understand the costs, however, what is insurance for!? How can they in all fairness do this to people, who one have never used any money they've paid and two purchased the insurance for the reason they are saying they can no longer cover for! I am furious. We have struggled now to find another insurance, which now we found, but had to pay intire premium for the year. I feel that when Met dropped those of us that had never filed a claim they should be made by the law to give back at least what a new premium would be for all they've cheated! I will not stop here. I will go the next step. This type of business in our country must stop!!
