previous complaint
After filing my previous complaint, I received a phone call from Mark at Corporate Metro Mattress.He assured me that my complaint will be addressed to my satisfaction. Scamming might have been the wrong choice of word but at the time I felt that way.Not too many companies will respond to your complaints and I appreciate Metro Mattress resolving this.

false advertising
We were scammed by the new manager on the purchase of a sale mattress. The mattress i tried in the store was NOT the mattress we received. I asked to return it and we were over the 14 day limit by 3 days. He said come in to the store and we can try to work something out. When we got there it was a different story. When we bought the mattress we were pressured into the cover protector. We also got approved for credit by the manager fudging the income. Now we have a mattress we can even sleep on and have six months to pay for it.

Drug addicts
Let me tell you about this company they don't drug test for starters when 90 percent of there employees are on drugs believe me I know them all management is shady there product sucks don't ever buy from there I know first handdont waste your time going to one of there stores they have no clue and will just try to sell u something you don't need very bad company please listen when I tell you this don't shop at metro mattress.

Fake prices
I know a few of there sales people who used to work there. They showed me a book they keep in the store that has different levels of pricing in it. If you don't buy at the sticker price they make up some B.S. story about overstock, in house speacial, or left over from a sale stock. Then you get a lower price. If you still don't buy they make a fake phone call to there boss. And what do you know they'll get you an even lower price but you have to buy it now. They have a 2 week training program where they actually have a script of how to lie to people to get them to buy at that higher price. They are so shady. They also make you sign like 5 things when you buy so if anything goes wrong they are not to blame and you're screwed. The owner used to be a lawyer so he covers his butt really well. He's been in trouble with NY, a few years ago for the fake pricing but they still do it. Do yourself a favor and shop elsewhere. Don't even go in there.

Bad Customer Service
I went into the Metro Mattress in Niagara Falls on Military Road and received the worst customer service ever. Not only did the man not tell me his name but he also told me that he would not waste his time if I was not sure about the mattress. I told him I went into a metro mattress in Cheektowaga and had a price quote for a mattress but did not have it with me.He asked me if I could recall the name of the mattress and I said no but before I could tell him I could call my significant other to find out he told me he would NOT waste his time and turned his back on me to assist someone else. I have never been more humiliated in my life. I will never refer anyone here and I will never shop here again.

Service
We purchsed a $2, 700 Tempur-Pedic matress and it was delivered to our house FROZEN and sat in the entry of our house entry for 24 hours!!! The best the store manager could do was say that he felt bad but that happens every year especially in the fall & winter!!! So then we had to wait around for another day to have the delivery men come back and take the un-frozen matress up to our room.
I hate to think what kind of service they provide to someone who spends less than $2, 700? Oh and did I mention that we were return customers ... apparently for the last time.

Deceptive Sales Horrible Company
Metro Mattress is THE worst company to work for, buy a mattress from, go in the door of, I could go on and on. They treat everyone they come in contact with horrifically. They should be put on trial for crimes against humanity. DO NOT EVER purchase from Metro Mattress because...

1. They are extremely over-priced
2. Every customer that walks in there pays a different price
3. If you are dumb enough to buy from them, after you swipe your credit card, you are history to them. They will not help you with any problem.
4. They do not do background checks on their employees so there have known sex offenders and drug addicts that not only work there but are extremely high up in management.
5. It is like they actually TRY to hire literal spawns of the devil to swindle little old ladies and handicapped people out of their hard earned money for a commission check.

Basically avoid Metro Mattress at all cost. Do not even walk in the door. Even if you don't buy, it will literally ruin your day by walking in there. They are the WORST company on the face of the planet.
Yes, I may be a little melodramatic, but trust me this comes from personal experience and I'll just let you imagine what has happened to make me this violently angry about a mattress store. And obviously I'm not alone in this. Just google Metro Mattress complaints and you will see what I'm talking about. I will leave it at that.

Rude/High Employees
I am a 67 yr old retired vet who wanted to find a decent mattress for my back problems. Once finding the new Metro Mattress and seeing their ad i thought I could find a great deal! I was wrong! Dead wrong! Not only did they mark up their prices they employ drug addicts!!! The two men working at the Cheektowaga store that day smelled strongly of marijuana, eyes redder than the devil, and were incredibly rude! I would NEVER buy from this company even if they had low priced mattresses! I cant believe a company like this wouldnt drug test their employees before dealing with the public! BUYER BEWARE OF DRUG ADDICTED EMPLOYEES @ METRO MATTRESS!!!

Awful customer service
I bought a mattress at Metro Mattress and there was a problem with the box spring. I was passed around to several people and finally ended up talking with one of the owners. I made a suggestion on what they should do in the future and he insisted that I wanted money back. When I clarified I did not want the money he said he did not believe me and told me he does not need to take suggestion from anyone. He basically did not care what I had to say about my experience as long as the sale was complete. For such a large mattress store I am surprised they don't have a customer service department or just one person. On top of it, this was one of the owners! They obviously don't care about their customers after the money is collected!

Deceptive Financing
I went to the local Metro Mattress store to inquire about there No Credit Check Financing program. I selected a mattress combination and asked how much the financing would cost. First I was told the interest rate was 15%. I thought that this was too good to be true... and it was. I called back the next day and spoke to another sales associate who told me the rate was 25%. I also asked him what the payment would be if I financed $1100 for 12 months. He stated my monthly payment would be $165(x12=1980) I asked him how that could be if the rate was 25% and he said he was just referring to the chart. I stopped in the following day to speak to someone in person and once again I received different stories on the interest rate. I began to question the finance practices and I was told it was 25% cut and dried. I repeated that this was not true because if it was truly 25% that would add up to $1375(divide by 12 payments would be about $115). I asked for the terms of the financing and they told me they would provide all of the details when the financing came through. I may not be the smartest person in the world, but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that something is not right with this. It must be new math or something. Incidentally I went to a competitor who not only provided me with conventional financing, but explained all of the terms up front and made sure I fully understood prior to filling out the credit application. My advice- don't waste your time on Metro Mattress!
