TV RECEPTION
We have very poor service... the TV keeps going off and on the air... when it's doing this, we can't follow anything playing... i.e., a news commentator will make a statement; the TV picture and sound is gone... a message "One moment please. This channel should be available shortly". When it does come back on (if it comes back on at all!), a new topic is being introduced... before they get into the subject, the channel is gone again. If we change channels, we get the same message... in other words all of the channels are "unavailable". Needless to say, this is nerve-wracking... and expensive... we're paying for something we're not getting. We were told that they have started charging $40 for a service call ... what! Pay for something that is caused by Metrocast and not us... besides, a service call wouldn't fix anything - it"s them. They broadcast those little notices "One moment please..." : if there was something wrong on our end, we wouldn't be able to get TV at all. We have good reception when it's working, but we have this problem almost daily. Of course, we're looking for another tv provider; a way to get the cable shows without having to get satellite or TV-Direct ... we've heard of too many bad experiences to go either of those routes. We live in a small town so we don't have many choices.
