diamonds falling out
I first got my engagement ring in August 2010, within a matter of 3 months one of the diamonds in the band fell out before my engagement party, i took it back and it was fixed with no hassles and back to me 2 days before my big night. The day after my engagement i noticed another diamond had fallen out so i rang and complained and said i wanted a refund, the lady told me she would email head office and see if they could do that, and she never phoned me back. The next day I noticed another diamond had fallen out and by this stage that meant that 3 diamonds had fallen out of my engagement ring and I was furious. I phoned back and told them yet another one had fallen out and they told me to bring it in and they would send it to quality control. When it returned from headoffice I was told that the ring was faulty and they would supply me with a new one, I said i wanted my money back but they convinced me that the ring was faulty and the next one will be fine. After about 3 weeks they finally called me and told me the new set had arrived, I went to pick it up and I was happy. when I got home out of their store that has fabulous lights to make the diamonds sparkle, I saw a black spot on one of the diamonds, so I rang them back up and was told to bring it in. I took it in and the girl put that special eye piece on and tried to tell me that the diamond was fine but I insisted she have thier jewler look at it, another staff member said to me I should just get the diamond changed if im not happy... the next day they rang and the jewler said it had a blemish in it and that was that... I complained that my first set had no blemishes and I would not settle for second best, I then mentioned that the other ladt (manager) told me to get the diamond replaced and the other managed argued with me telling me that they do not just replace the diamond in a new ring because the buyer is unhappy with it... in the end she told me they would do it but only this once! After another week I get a phone call to say the jewler doesnt want to do it as if you take a diamond out and replace it the others then become loose... she then told me that in another coupl of days they would have another set sent in from another store and i could choose which one I preferred. when I returned to the store i chose the new new set from another store... and guess what not even a week later wearing the new set a diamond falls out... not I am forced yet again to wait for the managers to get back from their holidays because no one else wants to know about it! That is 3 different rings all the same design from 3 different places and all up in 4 months ive lost 4 diamonds and has a badly blemished one!!! I would strongly advise no one ever buy any jewlery from michael hill, I swear I will never step foot in their stores ever again.
