I have a 2000 SeaDoo GTX DI. When I put the lanyard in it didn't beep. I took it to Michaels Cycle Works Inc. my local SeaDoo Dealer in Carson City Nevada. I explained to the counter worker that it wasn't beeping. I explained I didn't want it winterized. I explained that I live 2 miles from the lake and want to take it out in the winter. They called me 3 days later to tell me the winterization is almost done and I can pick it up. I again explained I didn't want it winterized. I again explained I brought it in because it wasn't beeping on the system check. He told he would stop them from winterizing and check the beeper. They called me the next day to tell me the pump needed rebuilding. Their words were " It is getting ready to grenade". They said there was also water intrusion. I told them I could not afford it and would come pick it up. I keep my ski parked in the garage. When I took it to the dealer it was washed and waxed, very clean. When they brought it out front I could not believe this is my ski. It was cover with dirt dust and MUD. ( I have plenty of pictures to prove. ) They gave me the pump back in a box with most of the parts.
A Seadoo mechanic contacted me and said he could rebuild my pump. I took the box to him. He micrometer all the bearings and shaft. He said they were well within factory tolerance. He put the pump back together with the original parts. I watched as he pressurized it up to 11 psi.. It held the pressure perfectly. The oil residue in the pump showed absolutely no evidence of water intrusion.
To sum it up there was absolutely nothing wrong with my pump ! The issue of the beeper, which I brought it in for was never addressed !
