Summary: Micro Medics Inc improperly repaired my laptop and would not fix the faulty repair.
Micro Medics Inc repaired my HP TX1000 laptop, which was exhibiting motherboard issues (wireless quit working, HD would not work properly, etc) on July 22, 2010. They returned the laptop to me and on August 8, 2010, the computer exhibited the exact same problem. I called Micro Medics Inc, informing them of the faulty repair. They sent a new FedEx computer box for me to return the laptop.
The laptop was misplaced (relocation of office issues) and found in the Fed Ex box. I shipped the box to Micro Medics Inc immediately on November 19, 2010. I realize that was late, but assumed that Micro Medics Inc would honor their commitment to repair the laptop because their first repair did not fix the problem. Micro Medics Inc returned the laptop to me without repair, having decided not to even look at the laptop.
Conversations with the Customer Service Reps at Micro Medics Inc were very courteous and they politely informed me that they would not repair the laptop, as too much time had lapsed. I even talked to a CSR Supervisor who called the Vice President of Operations (Thomas Renn) via his cell phone. Mr. Renn told the CSR Supervisor not honor the repair, as too much time had gone by.
While I fully understand that over 3 months had passed since I notified Micro Medics Inc of the failure of the laptop immediately after they returned the laptop to me, the delay did not impact the failure of Micro Medics Inc to properly repair my laptop. I informed the CSR Supervisor that I would be posting my experience with Micro Medics Inc on the web.
