ignore statute of limitation
They have ignored the Fla state statute of limitations on debts. They also restart the clock on old debts.

Scam!
I tried to fight a court ordered judgment against me from Midland (who represented my Aspire credit card which was originally a Providian card) with tons of documentation showing I already paid a large part of the debt. I had bank statements showing withdrawals, copies of the checks they produce with wireless transactions, etc) - LOST.

So after paying what I "owed", which was the correct amount with whopper interest, the turds are again trying to get a local legal firm to squeeze another $136.00 bucks outta me. Won't happen. I have final orders saying I'm done. Midland is scam.

Awful experience
Four years ago these people lost their house in a sheriffs sale. Someone bought it, fixed it up (they trashed it) and we bought it from them.

I am getting calls now (I have in the past from other debtors) from MCM Collections. I, as well as my husband, have told them this person doesn't live here, hasn't lived here for years. THEY KEEP CALLING. They call early in the morning and late at night. ALL DAY. Weekends... I can't get them to stop. I've spoken with a 'supervisor' and he was very accusatory in his tone, asking personal information about me. I told him that i was not her, that they need to stop calling and I am not going to give ANY personal information to people with such terrible business ethics. I said I'm the owner of this house, they can look it up in public records.

I don't know how to get these people to stop harassing my family.

Dispute
People beware!! Check your states Statute of Limitations on OLD debt, This company will rip you good if you allow it!! Any OLD INACTIVE debt EXPIRES after so many years!! ALL Debt is alleged that they are attempting to collect, Admit NOTHING!! Make them produce the ORIGINAL contract info, (DATES) DONT give them ANY Info!! I have disputed a recently discovered claim regarding mcm, that goes all the way back to 1992!!! They are asking ME for info, THEY are supposed to produce the info regarding THEIR claim!! Texas law on INACTIVE debt expires after 4 years UNLESS you re-afirm it, , remember Make them prove it, Dont admit, or give ANY debt collector any info, DISPUTE! DISPUTE!

Beware!
I received a letter from the company 2 mos ago offering a 60% settlement on the bal but didn't have the funds at the time...I now have the funds to settle on the bal b/c of tax refund and rep directly told my wife could not settle, sad that could either pay full bal and would forgive $100 of bal (which is a settlement by any meaning of the word) or make 3 equal pmts to pay bal off...We were also told that payments had to be made by a specific date or would be sent to attorney for legal action and have since been unable to contact the rep we need to speak with to make the payment (always goes to vm and never returns call)...I went to their website at www.mcmcg.com and if you go into the arbitration link will give another link www.mcmpayments.com...When I entered in my account info it gave me multiple repayment options including a 60% settlement of the bal which I took advantage of and can s/u payment directly online. So if reps aren't willing to work with you check online, although I would recommend saving screen prints of offers page and payment confirmations in case they try to pull a fast one and say never offered settlement...hope this helps some of you...

Scam! Watch out!
I was sent a letter stating that I could pay as low as 50 dollars a month for my debt so I sent them the first payment. The second month I received another statement with the total amount due so I figured that they made a mistake so I sent them another 50 dollar payment. I then looked at my account and noticed that my payments were not being fully deducted from my account so I called them. They told me that since I had not set up a payment schedule with them I was just paying mainly interest. For two payments of 50 dollars my account was only credited 40 dollars. Midland told me that they need at least half of the debt or at least 250 dollars a month. So why did they mail me a letter stating that I could pay 50 dollars a month? Has anyone had this happen to them with these scammers?

Let us band together to take this company down through legal and government channels
I have personally read through the complaints against this company and you are not alone. I own and run a small company called Rising Phoenix Services, a small organization that protect the rights of people like you and myself from corrupt business practices of companies such as this one. Yes, I have a judgment against me by Midland Credit Management, but I am standing my ground and not paying this judgment. Yes, they have deceived even North Carolina. RPS will be happy to receive any and all complaints against Midland Credit Management so that I can get enough ammunition to take this fight to the Supreme Court. They have broken every federal law that is designed to protect us from financial slavery.

Copies of this information will be sent through every level of the federal government, including Speaker of the House, Pelosi, Vice President Biden, and President Obama. Please send all complaints and email to [email protected]. Remember, do not send any SSN#(s) or other personal ID. RPS is a new company, so it is not listed in any database right now. In time, once the information ammunition reaches a threshold... MCM will pay for its sins against us. I have already told them through their attorney that it wasn't over. We need to bind together and create an army of consumers to bring judgment against MCM, or whatever they wish to call themselves. I am a Christian, and even if you are not of my faith, I will fight for you as well. Religious beliefs should not be a factor for standing up for what you believe to be right... we are all human beings and will make mistakes from time to time. Let us not let our religious beliefs be the Achille's Heel of this cause. We must stand together and fight against the wrong in this world.

Unauthorized charges
I received a report from Credit Inform alerting me to possible fraudulent activity. They listed an account with Midland Credit Management of San Diego. I've never done business with anyone in San Diego and have no knowledge of any outstanding accounts in the amount of $8017.

Fight them
It took me over 2 years to have this removed from my credit which I was finally able to do after I sent a letter to TransUnion. Midland continues to send me notices so when i called the other day and had some rude woman tell me that I still owed it I decided to write another letter to MCM, TransUnion, Equifax and the BBB. If you fight them you will win!!
