Lies and fraud
Midwest sold me a 1993 Toyota Corolla for $3000 that they stated in their ad as low mileage and dependable. It ran for 177 dependable miles and burned up the wiring harness and melted the fuse box on the left hand side of the engine compartment. Both Tom and his salesman Don said they would take care of any problems with the car after the sale and the paperwork was signed, even when the paperwork said sold "as is." They said they would fix the problem with the car. Obviously verbal communications mean nothing to Tom Langenburg or his sales sleaze as they both lied through their teeth as they did not do what they said they were going to do. They lied to us until the day we picked up our "dependable" car from them and had to tow it to a dependable reputable shop that doesn't tell their customers that they are going to do something for them and not do it. It is still not running and we have poured over $1000 in repairs to a car that they claimed was low mileage (the car fax stated it had over 140K and the odometer has 112K.) and dependable. Never never purchase a vehicle without a car fax expecially from Midwest Motorsports in Wyoming, MI. Everything that comes out of their mouths are nothing but lies. Tom Langenburg responded to my better business bureau complaint stating that the car ran and it was obvious the wiring damage could not have been that way when I purchased the car or it would not have ran. My mechanic said that the car had been hard wired and bypassed fuses in the fuse box to make the car run. They are just liars and not a reputable company to deal with as Tom Langenburg is not a man of his word. Reputable used car dealers stand behind their words and do not give their customers the run around and lies for 3 months. Quality cars until you drive it off the lot.
