This is quite a long story, and quite shocking. I was in the mortgage business with my ex-husband, and have been around land developing and new home building most of my life...I was appalled at the devious and fraudulant ways of Mr. Carnes. On 12/7/2009, I had a severe emotional breakdown from stress, and trauma in my life. I knew my small home (garage) that I love, and have lived in for 3 years was going up for sale. My fiancee was on his way here, via San Francisco, from London. (part of my break is lack of memory) Please excuse me if I can't remember exact dates, but I have correspondance to refer back to if need be.

1. I was TOLD approx. 5-6 weeks ago, that I had to leave the property that I rent at 204 1/2 Garfield St., Ft. Collns, for 4 hours. I asked why, Mr. Carnes said "Because it needs to be appraised".

2. I left my property for approx. 3 1/2 hrs., as my fiancee was to call collect on my landline at any time, and I was very upset about HAVING to leave.

3. On my return, the appraiser came out to the driveway, and asked if I live here, I said "yes". Did I have a lease? I said "yes". He also asked if the person in the front duplex had a lease, I said "yes". We are not both on the same lease. He then told me I did not have to leave the premises, and he told NO ONE that I had to leave.

4. I walked into the house with the appraiser, and I was SHOCKED at what I saw!!! My stove was moved out of the house, (the fridge was moved over under the hood fan, and my belongings were stacked around it, as to try and hide the fan).

5. I then walked back to the hall where the washer & dryer (stackable) were taken out of my house also! I had just shampooed the carpets 2 days before, and water from the hoses soaked the living room floor!. Everything that was on the shelf above the W & D was thrown under my bed, or in my closet in the bedroom. (It took me a while to find everything).

6. The W & D was stacked against walls that connect the 2 units together, they were removed, and I walked right into the front house, in shock and disbelief! It was quite evident to the appraiser, and myself as to what took place. (Loan for single family dwelling, not a duplex). There were numerous articles in the house moved around, such as crystal pieces, and memorabilia.

7.) Mr. Carnes came to my front door, and started screaming at me, how I "blew the loan'! And other people from his office stood behind him, (that had helped him move the appliances out of the house) as he humiliated me, and belittled me with his words. I was a nervous mess!! He exhaserbated my already sensitive condition, and told him he was deceitful, and I knew it, so did the appraiser.

8.) They went and got the appliances, put them back, and left. After they left, I discovered they had deeply scratched the linoleum in the kitchen, when moving the 'fridge, and stove; broke the washing machine, and also damaged the motor in the 'fridge. They said it would be fixed asap, and none of it was, finally after about 3 weeks, they sent someone to fix the washer, and it was not connected right, , so I still couldn't use it!

Thank you for your patience in reading this, there is much more, including the fact that my fiancee had called me for 4 hours, and couldn't reach me from DIA!!! He is back in London, and we are split up! (He was coming here to help me, as I am alone, and I needed him.) And to plan our next steps to finding him a job (animal biologist) and start looking for a place for us to live. THIS DID NOT AND SHOULD NOT EVER HAVE HAPPENED!

I have many letters from the "go-between" as she calls herself . Marli Callahan is her name, and she went on vacation, and got nothing repaired in the house. In my lease, it reads that if this property is sold, I should have a 75 day notice...well, I didn't. ALSO, , , I had purchased an airline ticket in May to go to CA. over the 4th of July for 1 week to see my family. Due to the time crunch to find another place and move, I'm not able to go. Ticket not refundalble, so on top of everything else, I'm out over $200.00. My travel ins. did not cover that reason to cancel. Someone WILL reimburse me.

All in all, the whole lot of them just screwed up my life and as I said...it did not have to happen!
