Mike is not even a shadow of a contractor, he can barely do the work when he does show up (which is rare). Some of his crew seem incapable of even trivial tasks that we hired them to do such as mudding drywall which seemed to be a form of rocket science to them that they could not grasp. Mike is not at all knowledgable of the basics and after hiring him he said to us that he has to babysit his workers yet when we were considering him initially he had the highest praise for them and all of their abilities. The only thing that he knows how to do is utilize shortcuts like caulking in trim boards that are incorrectly nailed to the walls. He has more excuses than anyone that we have ever met, life happens, we understand that, but everyday it is something new and some promise of how they'll be there and yet they still don't show up (rest assured, there is another excuse in their place) If you want to overpay for poor quality work that may never be completed, then by all means, Mike is your man. This "contractor" only knows how to use the phone when he wants payment (1/3 at start, mid-way and completion) or when he wants you to buy supplies that he will never use or possibly just doesn't know how to use, when you do hear from him it's via text messages that stop at the first sign of your dissatisfaction. If you've hired him, good luck... if you haven't, you're lucky!
