I recently had to move and find a place to rent. In that process I found out about this scam that was nothing short of sick! Their are rental companies and people who are renting a single one room. I found they want to charge you for a credit and criminal check $30 and up just to rent their place. What I found was these people and companies are accepting something around 30 and upwards to 100 applications at a time with these charges just to rent to one person. They will drag the rental out for as long as they can until they have to or want to rent their rooms. These complaints have been coming in from all over Harrisburg, PA. I found this scam out 1st hand and before I paid for this background check I specifically told the renter I don't have good credit. With that he told me he was not interested in credit but sexual preditors. I was turned down and given thrashing about my bad credit the next day. I repeated to him that I specifically told him it was bad and I wasn't going to pay $30 if it was based on my credit. He denighed that conversation existed! He claimed his "partner" made this call! Then I talked to other people who like me, disabled can't affort this garbage from people.He currently ownes Chic Hair Salon in Camp Hill name Mike. http://www.chichairdesigns.com/ ! I would not do buisness with some one like that. Their is more doing it and they have an online regular $ 9.95 a month online program. Isnt that a mark up or rip off! I plan to add more people to this scam list because its people like you mike who are making things much worse during our economy crunch, people who can't affort to be ripped off periond.
