This builder, Spencer Milli, has failed to respond in a timely manner to ongoing issues regarding my home. I have several unresolved issues regarding my new home. I closed on my home on April 22nd 2009 and there are still items that need to be completed such as installation of a brick mailbox and touch up painting on the outside of my home. It's now June and neither of those two issues have completed. Shortly after I moved into my home I was served with a 10 day notice to file a mechanic's lien on my home from a drywall company totaling $8, 950.00.
When I contacted Milli Homes and the owner, Spencer Milli I inquired to as if this bill was paid I was told it had been paid. I asked for a copy of a check for verification and I was not provided one. I checked the public records database in Missouri and found out that my property/lot is not the only location that contractors have filed liens against Milli Homes. There are other current Milli Homes customers who also have liens on their property. At this time I currently have to liens on my property from subcontractors who were not paid.
Furthermore, my property was also supposed to be enrolled in the Home Buyers Warranty Corporation 2-10 warranty program. I called the Home Buyers Warranty Corporation 2-10 customer service line and learned my home was not enrolled and that the builder stopped enrolling the homes he built in the program back in 2008. Finally, everytime it rains there are 4 different locations in my basement that either water leaks through the foundation or the foundation itself becomes wet and damp. I have notified my builder about all of these concerns/issues however nothing is getting done to fix the problems. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and the Missouri State Attorney Generals Office also in the hopes that something will be done.
