During the 2008 pageant in San Antonio, Texas Dawn Rochelle was only worried about 2 things, and those two things were (1) money and (2) being with her boyfriend.
You will notice after you read any complaints that Ms. Rochelle, Ms. Ramos, Ms. Warner, Ms. whatever she's going by is always changing but one thing stays the same. That is unhappy contestants and parents. Just read all the complaints.
Better yet go to the BBB--Better Business Bureau where she claims to never have appreared and that its past contestants that are sore losers and you will see that she is listed under many, many names!!! Why is that? Well, just look at her track record and you be the judge of that.

ALL (contestants) sent checks to Dawn Rochelle Productions. So if its a closed business, or whatever it is...WHY DID SHE TAKE THE MONEY?
Answer! Because she is not a Latina woman and doesn't care about morals or about taking dreams away from the Latina people.

You will see many complaints from other Latina contestants through Ripoff.com and it shows everything that we all went through.

Dawn Rochelle is a FRAUD. Stay away from her and the pageant that she stands for. You will never see the same staff because once they find out what she is all about they leave. She has never had the same assistant twice and the pictures that show her staff are from like 3-4 years ago.

Everything is old because she has created such a bad name in the pageant industry and that is apparent by reading all the complaints and unhappy latinas.

Being in a pageant should be a positive and happy experience. Not dreading that we entered and are unhappy with our cheap sashes, that we actually had to do over thanks to another contestant.

Then the "goodie bag" was some cheap old items that she had gotten from prior events.
You would think that since we all paid $950.00 each we would have gotten a little more than we did.

I will say that we needed to be there at 8:00a.m. for check-in. A small buffet was offered through the hotel. So we received Saturday, and Sunday night hotel accomidations.

Now, here's the trickie part--being that we had an 8:00a.m. check-in we had to pay for the night before on our own. Then, the pageant didn't even start until 8:00p.m. on Monday night and would end around 10:00 and then off to the after-party. Again, a night of dancing and having fun only to worry about where we would stay the night because our rooms were not covered. So some of us just crashed here and there.

So back to the $950.00 entry fee. We were told that we would receive a program book. Well, none of us received a program book as of November 2008--and it's given Dawn 3 months to get it to us, and still... nothing.
We were also told that we would receive pageant sashes, well, they were these cheap plastic sashes that were so bad, we had to tape them.
We were told that we would have a show director who would do the choreographing and that's where part of the entry fee was going to. He NEVER showed up.
We were told that we would receive official documents, well no documents were received.
Professional Photoshoot: Well, we were suppossed to have one of these as well but guess what? The photograpgher NEVER showed up. (Imagine that)
Well, her assistant and photographer from Puerto Rico came up with an idea to do it themselves. The photographer came to do his ladies only but was kind enough and felt bad for all of us that he did it. We of course had to pay him which was fair since he did do the work and the only way for us to get our pictures BUT we had already given our money to Dawn Rochelle to cover that portion. We were also told that our entry fee covered beauty & fashion seminars. Again, we had no classes. We were without Dawn Rochelle for about 95% of the entire pageant. She was of course with her boyfriend. Just read all the comments on ripoff.com and that is usually who and where she is with.

So in closing, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, RECONSIDER DOING HER PAGEANT!!!
