Case # 242-5072
We have been a Loyal Mitsubishi Customer for 30+ years. Our first Purchase was your Fold out projection model, then we up-graded to the rear
projection model with the full cabinet. Our latest purchase was the WD 52525. The green lite started blinking, and the TV was out of Service, and this isn't the first time we have deal with the "Green Lite blinking problem"
We returned to Best Buy, and inquired about this problem. We were told they would not come out for this failure, they called us before charging
the $150 for the Service Call. They explained it would be $700 to $900 for the repair, over 3 Weeks. They suggested we contact another local
repair service that Mitsubishi has been using in our area for the WD-52525 "Green Lite Issue"... In Home Tech Solutions.
We contacted In Home Tech Solutions, They explained the problem too us, and would come out on a $120 Service Call, remove the bad Chassis
part and Capactitors. We would be responsible to return the part too Mitsubishi ! They would return (in 2/3 Weeks) and reinstall it. In the past
Mitsubishi has covered the Cost of the Parts, Is this True ? However we would be left with an repair bill and a 90 day Warranty ! This is
Unacceptable ! We are not happy with the thought of being without our "Big Screen TV' for 3 Weeks.
We have reached a Crossroads.. and here is the solution. In lieu of Mitsubishi providing parts, We will purchase another Mitsubishi New LCD TV and the "Goodwill Parts Amount" would be deducted from the purchase Price.
I would appreciate a Quick Response, in the next couple days. Thanks in Advance- Jim & Nora Ritter
