fraudulent
Caught by MNI "free" report offer and found ourselves with monthly billing. Read all the complaints on the web. Called the company 1-866-883-3309 and after a long wait a nice young man came on the line who started to inform me that I had signed up; it was in the page where we submitted our info.
I pointed out to him that a quick google search shows that many people feel their procedures are fraudulent and that I wanted it cancelled NOW. He said he'd cancel effective today but I have not gotten the promised confirmatory e-mail so we'll see.

Fraud
**** This is more for everyone else here than myself! I offer a small degree of help in ending your frustration.***
I started getting charged $12.95 for credit reports that I never ordered. I work in a bank and I have a free subscription to Equifax credit watch so if I ever needed a credit report I would just use that.
This company gets your card number and continues to charge it monthly.
What you need to do is call your bank, have them cancel your debit/credit card and send you a new card with a 'new card number' and then report the transactions as fraud. The new card(with a new number) will prevent them from charging you further and your bank 'should' get your money back.

Unauthorized Credit Charge
This company got me too. I never heard of them, and have not sought any credit report services. I have no idea how they got my credit card number. Best approach seems to be:
contact them at (866) 883-3309 to demand the charge be reversed, the recurring charge be canceled, and that your credit card info be purged from their records, AND contact your credit card company to report an unauthorized charge. You should only go to the FTC to get a free credit report at http://www.ftc.gov/freereports. You may need one, if this company did in fact do an inquiry on you every month. Creditreport.com is operated by Mighty Net, Inc. Which is incorporated in Calabasas, CA. If you have tried and failed to get this company to do right by you, you can file a complaint with the California Attorney General's office through:

I have never recieved a credit report from anyoneand continue to get bogus charges for such services on my card. I work too hard for my money to have these idiots taking it from me without my approval. I would like mto have it all credited back to my card, is that really going to happen I would also like to speak to a human/AMERICAN if they call me, since they seem to have all my information, I expect a phone call and restitution!!! unauthorized bank charge/ deduction
I requested a free credit report online at EQUIFAX.com/fcra as instructed by COSTCO. COSTCO sent a letter dated 08/15/09 in reference to their bank: HSBC BANK NEVADA, N.A. I followed instructions through EQUIFAX website 08/24/09. I recieved the report. THEN, on my bank statement was auto pay of $12.95 to MNI*CREDITREPORT.COM on 09/01/09. EQIFAX denies any such fee/connection with/involvent.
