Have you ever heard of any telecommunication services provider that sets up communication towers and then dismantles them once they have reached a considerable number of subscribers to ther services in a particular area?
you may not have heard of such companies until now, but im now going to tell you about one such company in Sri Lanka. It's Sri lanka mobitel
that operates in Sri lanka and partly owned by the government and the private sector. It is the mobile services provider of the Sri lanka telecom that boasts about reaching every nook and corner of Sri lanka.
But unfortunately, mobitel is one the few large scale businesses in sri lanka that practice unethical business.
Why im saying such a thing is that they dismantled their Akmeemana tower in Galle(10 km from Galle town) about six months back leaving thousands of mobitel subscribers stranded due to the lack of signal.
Now it's almost impossible even to make a phone call from here, let alone connecting to the internet.
Still there's no sign of them coming back. According to a friend of mine who is an engineer attached to the Galle branch of mobitel, they're not planning to set up the tower again making the matters worse.This is not a simple matter to be overlooked since there are
thousands of mobitel subscribers living in this area still paying their hard earned money as monthly rentals to mobitel for various services they have obtained from mobitel.
Is it ethical to earn money like this by cheating it's customers? this is the worst thing i have ever seen from a company of this scale.
They're making dirty money for providing us nothing but a heavily interrupted service.

Mobitel shouldn't have expanded their services to this part of the country if they were not to provide us an uninterrupted high quality service. im sure mobitel must have thought that we are some kind of
retards that would keep their mouths shut.

Since this company, sri lanka mobitel is partly owned by the government of Sri lanka, it is the duty of the government to intervene as some of their citizens are deprived of enjoying the benefits of latest
technologies in the world such as high speed internet and most importantly as some citizens like us are being robbed by mobitel.

I must mention that by publishing this i dont mean to cause any damage to the "reputation"(if you think they have) of Sri lanka mobitel.

Finally, what we want is a quality service for our valuable money.
