Modern Auto Air Inc., when I first called I was told to bring in the vehicle they will do a thorough check up and let me know what is wrong with the A/c. I myself took my Jeep in to have the a/c fixed completely not to have a half way job done. The front desk person is Michael and the one that also tells you what is wrong with the a/c. Why??? He puts on this sweet voice educted individual. He tells me that it's the Blower Motor Resistor, I as a woman I have no idea what this is. I told my husband this in front of this guy when we went back to pay a down payment so he can order the part. I asked him if this was not the part that can be installed from underneath the dash. He said not and threw out that that was something else. Cause I told him my husband had changed this. He switch the part then called for us to pick up the vehicle immediately cause he was sick and was closing the place. Before I pulled out the parking lot he had closed the place down and left. I turned the a/c on and a loud noise came on. I took the vehicle back asked where the part was switched from said from the hood of the vehicle (which it is a complete lie) I searched this well and called around on this and this for the type of vehicle was done by the dash where they also broke some plastic screws and installed metal screws without letting us know.
Also, the part in the market costs, for instance Auto Zone $22.49, another auto part store $24, on the internet I found as low as $13. So what was the $100 charged for?? On something it took my husband under 5 minutes to change? ???
This guy was so eager to get us out just because I could tell. He through lie after lie. Also, if you still decide to go there make sure he puts his so call diagnostic 'in writing'. They basically want you to tell them what is wrong with it. This company is definately over charging for a work that is half way done. If you do not want to be up set and do more than one trip to the shop. DO NOT TAKE IT THERE!!!
