I am reporting the deceptive business practices of Secret Cash Club AKA Money Market Club AKA Google work at Home. They are located at telephone number 866-620-8803 address 5348 Vegas Drive Suite 866 Las Vegas NV 89108. They also have a telephone number 888-276-8105 and a mailing permit 582 from Salt Lake City. The physical address is in probably a mail drop.
On or about July 5, 2009 I answered a Google add working from your home to earn Money. In order to receive the start up kit I was required to give my Credit card number and I was charged by “ money Market Club” $1.95 on July 5, 2009. The ad stated That I would receive the start up kit in the mail in a few days.
On July 15, 2009 my Master Card was charged $68.21 by Money Market Club @ telephone number 866-620-8803. When I called the number the Agent advised me that since I did not cancel the agreement within seven days as per the terms and agreement is the reason I was being charged. I advised him that I had received nothing in the mail that being the Start up kit. The Agent stated nothing would be refunded.
I informed the Agent that they did not have any authorization for further use of my Credit card. He stated my subscription would be canceled. I did not sign up for a subscription I only wanted to see the start up kit.
On July 13, 2009 my credit card was charged .05 for a foreign transaction fee. My credit card company advised that the fee was associated to the $68.21 charge as the money was going into a foreign account.
On or about July 20, 2009 I received a computer disc from the company entitled the listing lounge which I assume is my so called start up package. So basically what they did was charge my card prior to furnishing me the start up kit a full sixteen days after I placed the order.
In addition I was contacted by another one of their agents who stated that if I did not call these two numbers within thirty days there would be additional charges placed against my credit card. The numbers were 888-785-7328 and 800-353-4581. The person furnishing the information was very hard to understand.
Sir we are a retired senior couple on Social Security and can not afford to be bilked out of this kind of money. This is an obvious scam designed to take advantage of senior citizens during a financial meltdown of our economy. People are desperate for money or employment during this economical crisis and they are profiting from these deceitful practices. Any thing you can do or recommend would be greatly appreciated.
