I purchased a money pak card for my sister in law. I'm in Georgia and she's in South Carolina and she has a Green Dot card and I assumed this would be a simpler, less expensive way than Money Gram or Western Union. Well I paid $4.95 for the card and loading $75.00 on it. When I scratched the numbers off there were only eight.
I contacted the so called Customer Help line and have been given the runaround and told someone will call you "tomorrow" since Friday. I am currently on hold and have been for 25:37 according to my cell phone and after refusing to allow me to speak with a supervisor, the customer service representative, who's name was given so fast I could not understand, finally placed me on eternal hold.
Now the amount of time it will cost me to be made whole, will certain exceed the mere $75 that I originally requested. I also found out the bar code and serial numbers listed on the back of the card, giving the impression of security, are meaningless, this company cannot lookup complaints by anything but the ticket number they supply, and their customer service is outsourced and trained to read the full script, wether it applies to your individual situation or not.
