So I go to Money Tree and put on 10 bucks for the book I want to order online. I get a text message saying that I have just credited my account with 10 bucks. I go home and order a book and then get an email saying that my card was declined. Huh? The book cost 7 something and even your text message said I had 10 bucks on my account.
Anyways, I call up the number on the card to check my balance. I had $6.88 left on the card! I checked to see if maybe there was a charge to my account and there has been nothing in the past 2 days and it seems the $3.12 charge came out of nowhere. So now I have to put even more money on my card.
This isn't the first time I had problems. I cancelled my subscription to their program to pay 10 bucks a month and you get every pruchase for free. I figured I'd pay the buck per purchase as I don't even use the card 10 times a month. I did this through their automated system and I figured that was the end of that. The automated voice even asks if I want to enroll in the program. Well I go to order something online and I check my balanace and I was in negative numbers. I call them up and their automated system didn't cancel my subscription! So I got charged 10 bucks for something I cancelled the minute I got the card. Unreal.
I would go to another debit card, but Check City messed up my birthday and my account was cancelled so I'm running out of options. And people say the government does all the wrong while private companies are efficient...
