Tree crew dropped a tree limb on our driveway post lamp. The owner asked me if I wanted credit or to have it replaced. I chose to have it replaced. He led me on for several weeks always acting surprised that it had not already been replaced by the electrical company he used. He told me it was going to cost $200 (I had seen the same lamppost at Home Depot for $99, so I was suspect at this point. After several more phone calls to Andy (he went on vacation) it became evident that he was going to blow me off, so I quite calling him and bought the lamppost myself ($90 at Lowes) and my wife and I replaced it ourselves. We sent him a bill for parts and labor in a certified letter which was returned due to no forwarding address (big surprise). I then put an alert in our Home Owners Association newsletter in the "beware of contractors" section.

For a company that admittedly does business "word-of-mouth" this is no way to treat customers. I hope in some small way this has some impact or influence on someone else's decision to use this company in the future.
