I bit into a small chocolate cluster from Trader Joe's new trex mix, and bit down on something hard and crunchy. I spit it out and found three small pieces of GLASS! This was the first bite from the bag. I immediately called the store where I had purchased it the day before and informed the manager. Four hours later, I brought the bag in to them, thinking they would inspect it, and tried to show them the pieces of glass. They were still selling the product on the shelves! They gave me a refund, and thought that was the end of it. I asked the manager if he was going to remove the product until they knew if it was safe, and he just said he would "send a report". I tried contacting the HQ, but could only send an email and left a phone message. It's now been 5 days with no response. I have shopped at TJ's weekly for years, but after this, no more. The product doesn't say where it was produced - probably a third world country.
