I received a charge on my credit card for 11.89 to Monrovia Designs..I never ordered anything from them and the Credit card has not been used by me for months.

unauthorized credit card charge
I received my credit card statement today and after reviewing the charges I found an $11.89 charge from Monrovia Designs. Their phone area code is 703 (VA) but the state listed is (AL). I've never heard of this company. I called the phone number and got a message to email them. Rather than email I went to the internet to see if maybe I forgot a charge and found all the listings of unauthorized charges from this site. I have no idea how they got my credit card number as this was a gas card only used by my husband. The moral is be careful with your charge card. This is unexplainable.

Credit card fraud
A charge in the amount of 11.89 appeared on my credit card last month. I called the number listed and got a voice mail box for which I left a message. The voice mail greeter was not very professional (clue #2). I the letters that followed the phone number as AL, I noticed that in other instances on here with these complaints that other state letters followed the phone number. I looked up a Monrovia Design on the internet which I found in California. I wrote them an email which they responded to immediately saying that they were not the one to charge my card. In fact this company in California only deals wholesale not retail.
I have disputed the charges with my credit card company. What is funny about this is that this credit card has been destroyed for over year.

Fraudulent charges
Monrovia Designs fraudulently charged my credit card for $11.49. I called the number for this supposed company and it is some cheesy voicemail giving an email address only. My bank has credited my account but it still is upsetting. Unfortunately, because this is such a small amount that they are charging, I am sure many people don't even notice it and this company gets away with our money. Scumbags. I hope someone stops these low-lifes soon. It's unfortunate that there are people out there like this.

Fraud and cheating!
This company has been charging people for different amounts on their credit card accounts for unauthorized charges. If enough people will only contact the F.B.I. we can put a stop to this.

Credit card fraud!
I was charged $11.89 to my mastercard on May 10th at 7:38 AM by a male in Huntsville, Al. I did not order anything from this company and I don't know how they got my number. I see they have done this to a lot of people. I urge anyone who has had a problem with this company to go the better Business Bureau and file a complaint, also go to fraudaide.com and file a complaint. Don't stop there. Contact the Attorney General of the state thst you are in and file a complaint. I also contacted the local newspaper that is owned by the new York Times and put an article in. Most people might over look a small amount like this. This is credit card fraud and it crosses state lines, even if it did not cross state lines these people are thieves. I want them prosecuted. Please file your complaints with the proper sources. I had to cancel my card and file a dispute with my bank. Let's pull together and close this company.

Fraudulent charge!
Today I called Citibank to cancel a Master Card that I have not used in a while. The woman told me that I had an outstanding balance and so the account couldn't be closed. She said that the amount was $11.89 from Monrovia Designs and that it had been an internet purchase made on May 13, four days ago. I called the company right away and got the voice mail message. I left my home phone number in my message. I called a son to see if he knew anything about this transaction. He was online at the time and did some research for me; he determined that it was a fraudulent charge. I immediately called back Citibank and they closed the account. They said that they'd send me forms to fill out. Wow! I only get e-statements now and would not have checked this credit card statement because I have not used it in months! What if I hadn't happened to call today? I could kick myself for leaving my home phone number on the voice mail; now this crook has one more fact about me!

Fraudulent charge of $11.49 to my cc... many others complaining about similar charges from this company. Beware.
