I ordered transcripts from Moody Bible Institute (MBI) about a month ago, but was told that there was a financial hold on my account. I graduated in 2004 and have not taken any classes from them since that time. They don't allow a student to graduate if that student owes the school money. I keep calling about the problem. The treasury department has been telling me that they can't see where the charges came from and that they'll look into it and call me back, but have done nothing. They won't release my transcripts either.
This is the fourth time that they've done this to me. While I was still a student there, they sent many bills to the students that the students didn't owe. We were told that those were system errors. Then in 2005 I received a bill when I was overseas. My dad had to call about it. He was told that it was another system error and that the charge would be taken off my account. Then in 2006, they sent another bill to me. I was still overseas. My dad called again and was told that they would take the charge off of my account.
Today I called the Academic Records department. They are going to try to talk to the treasury department about the problem since they can see that I haven't taken any classes since I graduated. I hope that will work. Of course, considering the fact that they keep putting charges onto my account, I doubt that this will be the last time that they do this to me.
