Moon Palace Reviews

March 21, 2007
Lying about conditions of sale and selling nothing!
I vacationed in Cancun in mid December 2006. At the airport I was approached by a representative of Moon Palace and promised a couple of sightseeing trips if I attended a sales presentation. I took the offer and ended up purchasing a vacation package based upon the promise that the all inclusive rates are confidential and will not be published anywhere. When I got back home I found that the rates were indeed published on the internet, Ebay for example. I asked Moon Palace to cancel my membership and refund my money. They did cancel my membership but refuse to refund my money. What started as a bad deal has turned into a complete "stealing" of my money. I'm working with my credit card company so the ordeal has not been finalized yet but based upon other complaints I fear the worst. I'll be out all my money and not even have the ability to use the services promised. Looking back, I have found that there is a 5 day cooling off period for all contracts in Mexico. This clause was not included in the contract with Moon Palace so I did not know about the right to terminate the contract and get a full refund. My credit card company has a 10 day cancellation policy and has issued credit but i'm sure that Moon Palace will contest this and I'll have to pay (I already have paid).
