Stay away
I have read all the complaints. I started to walk into the local Mor store the other day. I thought it was the replacement for Wicks which I never had trouble with. After reading all these posts why would anyone buy a single thing from this store. Money is too hard to come by and to spend it on furniture that is damaged, incomplete or delivery people who are careless and customer service that is non-existing is ridiculous.

Thank you to each and every person who has written on this site detailing their horrors. How is this store allowed to stay in business. I will gladly walk away.

Horrible service
My couch broke just after a year! Half of the couch is sitting on the ground due to the frame being broken. I contacted Mor and was told sorry it's after a year (1 week) and it's not warrantied. But the couch has a LIFETIME warranty. After 6 MONTHS, of me calling back over and over again they agreed to send someone. Five minutes before the guy was supposed to show up we get a call saying sorry we canceled your appt. we won't come out until you pay us $50. So waiting and waiting for a call from the Manager never came... I called again and again then I was told that the couch and the manufacture are out of business so sorry.. Huh? I called again today and now was told that the couch is discontinued but I will have to take my problem up with the manufacture. I thought that they were out of business??? SO now I am being told that even if we were to pay them the service fee they wouldn't be able to do anything for us anyway because the couch is discontinued and the parts are not available. So you were going to charge me knowing that you couldn't even get the parts? So now I have the manufacture's number that was supposedly out of business and was told so sorry.

Poor customer service/all-around service
Saw advertisement on televison and heard from a freind about service, thought it was a good idea to check it out. They, Mor Furniture, were running a four year no tax financing, even better idea! Find a bedroom set, order it, told that it was the most popular set in the store, , whatever. The sales manager said that it sholdn't be no more than four to five weeks before set would be delivered. Oh, we bought a new mattress too - delivered the next day just fine.
The delivery people got an attitude when asked to see their Mor Furniture IDs before entry into house. The deliverymen that are supposed to take the old mattress with them following delivery, said that they did not have enough room in their truck to put the old mattress. They would haveto pick it up once the remaining furniture was delivered. The fourth/fifth week, supposed delivery week, Mor Furniture calls to reschedule, fine, two more weeks waiting.
Following the two weeks, Mor furniture calls again, missing pieces for the bed, different stories from warehouse manager, and sells rep concerning which particular piece is missing. Also find out that the whole set, minus the mattress, is being discontinued. Wife calls Mor's regional office, lady - extremely rude, states that the options are to wait for the remaining pieces, coming in June (it is now April, and I'm sleeping on my mattress on the floor), come into the store and choose another bedroom set, or simply cancel the sell and go to another store - who tells a customer to go to another store when your store is at fualt?
The delivery of the box springs and frame come; decided to cancel order and get the box springs and frame that go with the mattress. The deliverymen set the frame up so that there is a five inch gap between the box springs, the bed is a cal-king, and set out to call it a day. When asked about the gap they look at it and go to resetting the frame so that there is not a gap. Once complete, they are forcing my $2000 tempurpedic bed box springs into the frame to make it fit, then throw the mattress on. When asked about taking the old mattress and box spring, they say that they cannot due to not having enough room in their truck. I see that they do and ask what the hell I'm suppose to do with my old mattress and box spring. They grumbled something that they don't pick up the mattress if they didn't deliver it, so I tell them that the previous deliverymen said that the mattress and box spring would be picked up. Needless to say, they made room for the mattress and box spring and took off grumbling.
In the process of forcing the new box springs into the frame they ripped the bottom of the box spring, and bent in one side. The frame wasn't even put together correctly!
So, if you want to have your furniture jacked up during delivery, if it gets to you when it's suppose to, then go ahead go to Mor Furniture. I would not use More furniture ever again, and have informed my co-workers to not go. Bad business and bad service.

Service
I bought a sofa sectional and dining room table group Dec 20, 2009. The sale man said we can deliver that on Dec 31, 2009. I thought that was quick. The sales man said we have that in stock, its no problem. I was having a new years eve party and that would work out great. I went home and removed my old furniture. The furniture did not arrive and the warehouse informed me that my furniture was back ordered until april. I ran down to Costco and bought a nice dining room table set. The store manager then said it would come on Jan 8th. It did not come. I called to make sure they removed the extra $1900. charged for original order with dining room table. I could not get a call back as promised. I emailed them with no response. I finally was so fed up I called and cancelled the entire order. I now consider them to be nothing but liars. They lost a $4700. plus sales. I ended up with better furniture in the long run.

Inferior products, bad customer service
We bought two curio cabinets back in September from Mor, we were unhappy with the quality since as soon as we opened the first box. The cabinet looked awful, the finnish was coming off, the legs starting pulling apart. Before we opened the second box we called Mor and got the royal run around as no one seemed to be concerned about the fact that we were unhappy with the quality of the cabinet or the fact that the cabinets were defective, in fact I was told it was my problem not theirs, once you receive it you own it, they even said that they would not take back the one that hadn't been opened, because " It was second hand now because the box had been in our house.

Well I loaded both of them back in my truck and brought them back to Mor and after getting jerked around for about an hour and a half, finally got told that I was stuck with the one that I had not opened, but they would replace the one that was bad.

Well it has been almost three months since that day and all I have to show for it is just empty promises, every time I call I get a different excuse for why I haven't received my other cabinet yet. I hope other people will read this and not be stupid like me and buy furniture at Mor.

POOR EVERYTHING !!!!
DO NOT BUY AT MOR FURNITURE !!!

What a joke...

1-- Delivery between 2 and 6 p.m (what are they cable people??)... showed up at 7:30 p.m.

2--Furniture was supposed to be "wrapped" to protect from weather/transportation.. came with NO wrapping--stained, water spotted.

3-- One piece was soaked--went back to shop--new delivery?? Dec 20th (it is Nov. 23rd)

4--Waited over 30 minutes on hold to talk with "Customer Service"

5-- Paid CASH for sofa ($1000)... was told they would "mail me a check in a week or so"...W.T.F.??????? If I give cash--I get cash back--or a INSTANT CHECK FROM MOR !!!

6--Would NEVER SHOP HERE--NOR DO I RECOMMEND THIS TO MY WORST ENEMY !!!

MOR FURNITURE--DO NOT SHOP HERE !!!

No Customer Service
Mor Furniture has no customer service. We recently bought a couch & loveseat, they said it would be delivered that evening. The delivery truck arrived at 12:30 in the morning. We were so tired we were not thinking straight & accepted it. The next morning it was obvious that the furniture was too large for the room. We called their so called customer service dept less than 12 hours after it was delivered. They told us, too bad you'll have to keep it we don't accept returns once an item is delivered. Have you ever heard of a reputable company pulling a stunt like that? I would never buy anything from this company again. If you read any positive reviews regarding Mor Furniture it was probably planted there by one of there sales people. Do yourself a favor buy your furniture from
a more reputable company!!

Do not buyu from them
I bought a table from mor furniture 08/23/09 it was supposed to be delivered 9/19. They kept pushing the delivery date back, so finally on 10/23 they gave me a new delivery date of 11/01. well my housewarming/daughters 3rd birthday party was scheduled for that day. needless to say that was not going to work for us. so they said we could come and pick it up. we did that. brought it home and put it together. when we took the top of the table out of the packaging, we noticed it was chipped. so we called them to complain and do you think they would pay us back for the delivery fee or replace the table top??? no they blamed us and told me that i chose to pick the table up. Then they offered us 100$ to just keep the damaged table. after constant phone calls to complain, they offered to send out a technician to inspect the table but would not guarantee a thing and would not reimburse their previous offer of 100$. we spent over 2000$ in their store...their customer service help and policies are bull shit. I will NEVER buy another item from Mor nor will i ever tell anyone to shop there.

Lies
My husband and I have been waiting for over a month to be refunded $2, 698.00 for a damaged curio cabinet and matching dinette set that was purchased at MOR Furniture in San Marcos, CA. HDL Delivery services is their sub-contracted delivery company that set-up our Curio cabinet incompletely. The second shelf collapsed and destroyed $800 worth of our China and Stemware that were given to us as wedding gifts.

A MOR service technician came to our house to inspect what was damaged and determined the root cause to be an incomplete installation due to the 2nd shelf only having half of the support pegs installed during setup of the curio.

MOR Furniture decided that it would be easier if they blamed the manufacturer of the furniture, claiming it was "defective" even though the furniture was assembled with pieces missing so MOR Furniture could receive the refund for the furniture we returned to them.

Our furniture has been in MORs possession for almost 3 weeks now and we still have not received the $2, 698.00 they owe us for the furniture we returned to them. We have contacted Dave, their Customer Service manager who has done nothing but feed us lies. In the meantime, MOR Furniture has our furniture AND the $2, 698.00 we paid for it.

worst crappy furniture ever
Hi

Mor furniture delivered a broken dining table, torn sofa, and a bed of 2 different colors!

My wife and I (newly weds), went to mor furniture showroom in tempe AZ, on the 25 of September 2009. We were looking for a dining room, living room, and bedroom. We looked around and were surprised at the nice things that they have. The prices were within our budget so we bought the following furniture:
1- dining room set and chairs for 800$
2- reclining sofa and recliner for 1000$
3- coffee table and 1 end table for 250$
4-1 dining table, 2 benches and 2 chairs for 700$
5-1 cal king bed, 1 dresser and mirror, and 1 night stand for 750$

We were amazed on how affordable the prices are. When we bought the above items, the sales person confirmed that everything is in stock and that the only thing that is missing is the cal king bed, and we should wait for it about 2 weeks. We agreed and said we can wait after we get back from honeymoon and we will receive the furniture. While we are on honeymoon, we received a call from mor furniture and they said that the reclining chair is back ordered and they are expecting it to arrive on November 5, 2009. We said that is ok as long as the sofa gets delivered. A week later, we get another call that the dresser is also out of stock and that we have to wait for that until November 23, 2009. We said thats a long time to wait for the dresser, but then we said what can we do.. its alright we can wait.

The delivery date came, and they scheduled from 3pm-7pm on Saturday Oct 17, 2009. My wife and I were heading to a have picnic at the lake close to where we live around 1pm, when we receive a call saying that the delivery will be there in 10 minutes! I was like wow, 2 hours prior to the time window they gave us! I turned around and head back home. 10 minutes later they show up. they started unpacking things. First, the brought in the bed rails, 2 were brown and 2 were yellowish in color. We mentioned that this is not acceptable and that we will not accept this item. second they brought in the dining table. While they were putting it together they noticed that one of the screws is not stable. So we had to refuse that item as well. Finally they brought in the sofa, and the middle part of the sofa's back was torn, so we refused that as well! the only things that they had right was the dining chairs and the coffee table. At this point, the deliver guy called the service center and they mentioned they did not have the bedroom is stock and they are not planning to order any more! This is when I knew that there is no dresser for the bedroom! either live we a two different color bed or no bed at all! From this point on, I called the sales person and canceled the order, and asked the deliver guys to take all the stuff back as they were all junk. The sales person was like, you will need to come over to the showroom to cancel the order. I replied by saying, well I can dispute the order with american express and you will have to pay me back since its a credit card. He was like give me a minute, and in 10 seconds he said: i just spoke with my manager and he said it was fine, and you should get the refund soon althought it might take upto 15 days. I called again asking for a cancellation number, and they said to wait until Monday because the cancellation department is closed. Ill wait till Monday and see what will happen then.
