Found out that Morequity who used to be owned by AIG got sold 11/30/10 to Fortress Manage Funds. I'm current on my mortgage but because things are tight and I told them when they called I would be about a month behind they threatened foreclosure! For one month! Talked to a Daniel I believe and what a bunch of arogant pricks. I had no say with my mortgage being sold to them years ago and I absolutley HATE dealing with this company and all their so-called 'customer service'. I'm glad a bunch of them got let go a couple years ago do to the downturn in the economy. I can only hope some of them had a mortgage with this horrendous company. Sweet justice. Hope the whole thing goes out of business. Fire them all!

This company has continued to report negative credit on me even though I am recalled to Active Duty and requested protection under Serviceman's Civil Relief Act of 2003. Regardless of the fine involved for violation of this act, they are simply refusing to comply. I would not recommend this company based on their unfair practices.

I received a letter advising of payment not received on June 20, 2008 and immediately called MorEquite to advise them that I had sent out my monthly payment on May 21, 2008 for the month of June. I advised them of the check number, amount sent and even send them a copy of my check. I immediately sent them both the payment for June and July on June 21, 2008, (that very next day) less the fee. I also reminded them that I have NEVER been late on any payments and usually pay weeks early and requested that they remove the late payment fee. I was denied that consideration. Apparently it was my fault that I sent the check by mail and that if I signed up for their pay online option I would not have that problem again. I refuse to pay them online and they said that was the chance I would take by using the mail and that I must pay their fee. I then sent them another letter stating that they now leave me no alternative but to file a complaint and they have ignored the issue. I have been with them for years and have never had anything like this happen and I refuse to pay that penalty fee.

These people call you if your 1 day late on your payment!Then if you are stupid enough to answer the phone, they'll try anything to get a payment over the phone.We've had a home loan with them since 2003 and weren't hardly ever late till my husband lost his job last year.Now, we are right at 3 months behind and they are threatening to foreclose!I know they would love to since we just owe them 50, 000 and our home is worth at least 3 times that amount.On top of their late chgs. they are trying to get even more!This is THE worst company I've ever dealt with.I think I'll file bankruptcy on them if they keep it up!
