The contractor CJ Morgan - CMC Builders and designers whom we have hired to do an addition to our house has left the work unfinished, but is still demanding us to pay the full amount. According to the contract, the final check is due after all the work has been done. There are lists of things which he hasn't finished, but his excuse for that is that he had used the funds for those on other things.


Don’t be fooled by all that talking…We wouldn’t recommend the Morgan Company to even our worst enemies! Contractor CJ Morgan can do all that impressive talking, and claims himself as a designer as well as a great contractor. We have learned that it was all such a scam in the hard way. He has left our house unfinished, and still claims to be paid in full. He has threatened to pull all his workers out if we didn’t pay him money before the due date of the last payment. We paid that amount only because we were so desperate to have our home back for the holidays, but he never finished the work. He had brought in these snail paced workers with not so impressive backgrounds. We were so afraid to leave the house to these people, but had no other choice. The contractor mostly only came by to collect the check. His workers had left a mess around the house, and pretty much trashed the inside. There have been times in which we came home to find cigarette butts on the floor and chewed gum stuck to places. They didn’t have any respect for our house considering the fact that it was not just a construction site, but a home that people lived with small children. He will promise that his workers will clean the place every day before they leave, but the reality was far different. There were nails scattered around everywhere. The first thing we did every day after his workers left was to clean the stairs, hallway, and garage since we were afraid that our kids might accidentally step on them. Not only that they haven’t finished the work, they have ruined the things we had in our house as well. A total disaster….
