Apartment
This is the worst place you could ever choose to live. When we first moved in, there were TONS of problems with the apartment, only half of which were "fixed" after handing in the inventory sheet. Our dishwasher was FULL of mold and mildew. It was absolutely disgusting. I can't believe they said that apartment was ready for move in. The bathroom looked like it hadn't been calked in years. The washer didn't work right. The balcony door wouldn't lock. The front door was aligned wrong so it wouldn't stay shut, but I also couldn't lock it, which we still have problems with all the time. How safe! The ceiling fans didn't work right. Our bathroom sink doesn't drain. Our bath tub faucet leaks. Honestly, I don't remember everything that was wrong with the place but it has been a nightmare living here. On top of all of that, tonight I came home from work (not at the bar or club - work) at about 2:00 am. Guess what? The gate won't open! Mind you it has been broken for the past few months. When we first moved in, we were given a gate access card. Well for the past four or five months, the gate is either always open (again with the concern for safety) or its shut and you have to enter a code. But get this! The code is written under the keypad on a post it note. What exactly is that supposed to accomplish? Anyone who can read or even match numbers can get in! AGAIN, with the safety. Well anyway, we pulled up at 2 am and entered the code. It didn't work. We tried it 2 or 3 more times, still nothing. So I drove around to the exit gate. There is no way in. It's close and gated off so I couldn't just walk around and enter the code. They recently built a new fence, so we were screwed. I called the overnight answering service. She offered to send security, which I accepted of course. After the security guy let us in (he was very nice by the way), I called the overnight number back again. I wanted to complain now. So I called and explained the situation, nicely at first. Lois (b*tch) was who I was talking to. She was the most ghetto customer service representative I've ever talked to, and rude. Well anyway, I asked for a corporate number. She said she didn't know it and couldn't get it. Fine, I asked to be transfered to someone who works at my complex's voicemail. She said she couldn't do that either. I asked for the corporate address. She said she didn't know it or if they had one (moron). I asked for an e-mail address to SOMEONE, ANYONE. She said she didn't know. I asked if there was a website. She said she didn't know, but that I could google it if I wanted. At this point, I was very frustrated. So finally I asked if she could take a message and at least guarantee that I would get a call back on Monday. Do you know what? SHE TOLD ME NO! WHY IN THE HELL DO THEY HAVE THE ANSWERING SERVICE? THEY DON'T KNOW OR DO ANYTHING. I CAN'T BELIEVE THEY ACTUALLY PAY HER. ARE YOU KIDDING? SHE DOESN'T KNOW ANYTHING AT ALL!
