I am a borrower and a consumer who have paid AmTrust an appraisal fee of $340 to have my home appraised. I was not happy with the pricing I got with my broker so I decided to go with another broker. My new broker saved me some money using another bank and the new lender will accept the appraisal ordered by AmTrust but Amtrust is refusing to release the appraisal to my new lender. I talked to a loan officer at AmTrust and he refused help me with my request due to company policy. When asked to talk to policy maker he refused to transfer me to anyone.
I tried talking to the appraisal company and they said they can't released the data to my new lender unless AmTrust releases the appraisal. So now I have to pay another lender to get another appraisal done. How hard is it for AmTrust simply send a letter to my new lender validating that the appraisal they use was an authorized appraisal and that AmTrust will release the appraisal to my new lender?
AmTrust, you guys are so unrealistic. If you are not going to help me, I demand for my $340 refund. I'm so frustrated with you guys that I am going to complain this matter to the consumer affairs.
