Say what ever it takes to get you into a lease - know ifyou sign you are stuck.
They are the leasing agents for a home we leased. During signing we told their representative we had just come out of a 2.5 year lease in which the last 6 months the owner of the home was trying to sell the house. So every time a realtor called we would have to rush t spruce up the house to make sure it was presentable. We told Mosiac we did not want to go through that again. Their representative said "I hear that all the time, you do not have to worry about that there will not be any short sale this house is almst paid for". Less then 2 months into the lease we received the dreaded call, "ummmm the owner has decided to put the house up for a short sale". During the conversation we were told they knew for a while the owner was going ot short sell. That leaves us to wonder, did the do the owner a "favor" by getting someone in there to pay rent while the owner is not paying the mortgage? In a later conversation with another representative from Mosiac they confirmed the owner owed well over $110k more then the house was worth. We asked for some kind of compensation because we were lied too, Mosiac in their pompous state went back to the owner asked for them ot lower the rent. Not realizing it was not the owner that lied THEY LIED, they should be the ones that pay. Watch when dealing with this leasing agency they will say what you want to hear and even lie a little to get your business.
