filthy and unsanitary conditions
After driving for 7 hours, we stopped and checked into the Motel 6 in New Cumberland, PA around 11 pm. After unloading all of our belongings and then wanting to unwind and settle in, we began to notice that the room was not clean. After much further inspection, we saw that in fact it was filthy and disgusting! Popcorn all over the carpet, hidden under blanket edges on floor, food crumbs and filth on carpet, especially under the desk and along floor edges. the counterspaces had "soda can rings" which are all sticky. NOT to mention the dead, squished fly stuck to the bedstand next to the bed! then the bathroom... the toilet had urine and pubic hair on it, and when bending down to inspect, you get blasted with a strong urine odor! The refrigerator nor the microwave seem to have EVER been cleaned, as they both have a layer of grime and food stuck all over the inside and even the outside! THEN, when requesting our money back for the 3 nights we paid for, but are instead going to a Best Western, , the Manager is rude, and asks me, "why did you even stay here then?" Also, she rolls her eyes and gives me attitude when i inform her that my husband had to take clorox wipes and clean all this just so we could feel somewhat comfortable for the one night. VERY rude customer service and even worse room conditions! DO NOT STAY HERE!!!

payroll & tax fraud
Dear Sirs:
I applied for employment at Motel 6 here in Laramie, WY. I was training for Front Desk as well as housekeeping. The housekeeping mgr was short handed, and they put me into her department, plus she stated that she liked the fact that I did not miss any details while cleaning the rooms. I was fast, and extremely hard working. My fingers were cracking and bleeding.
The housekeeping mgr and another housekeeper go into the rooms to take out the dirty linen before the housekeepers go in to clean the rooms.
I had noticed that there were never any gratuities in the rooms that they stripped. One day a week they were not able to get to the rooms to strip them right away, and I made about $15 to $20 in gratuities. The housekeeping mgr had told me that when her assistant leaves that she would like me to take the position (her assistant leaves in June).
I could not prove that they were stealing my tips so I took a dollar of my own and placed it in room number 132 (I believe that is the correct room). I then started cleaning at another bldg. When I arrived to clean that room, the linen had been taken from the room, as well as the dollar. I searched the entire room; to give them the benefit that maybe they had knocked it off the table. I was angry and near tears.
I put the sheets and towels and everything needed into the rooms that I had left to clean to make it easier to clean the rooms. I went to the housekeeping mgr (who strips the rooms) and asked if I could go to lunch. I then went to the front desk. I informed Heather (at front desk) that I was leaving and why and that I probably would not return because of it. I attempted to write down the time I was leaving on my timecard but Heather would not allow it as she needed to put the new timecards out. She did have me sign my timecard in two different places before I left and she promised to write down the hours on a new timecard (the time that I came in was on the timecard). This was on Sunday, May 8th. I called Friday morning, May13th and asked when I could pick up my check, and the front desk clerk stated that I could come in then. The mgr. called as I was driving, and left a message on my phone stating that I would have to wait until after 3pm. The message was offensive, and he had mentioned that I should take a good look at my paycheck. When I received my check, it was missing hours, to which they stated that I would have to wait two weeks before they would pay me for those hours.
Also, when I completed my I-9 New Hire form, I had put EXEMPT on it. My paycheck had Fed WH in the amount of $46.00. I am aware that my employer did willfully and intentionally commit a violation of a known legal duty. He did intentionally commit a criminal tax offense. I have kept my paycheck stub as well as the phone message that he left on my phone as a form of proof of this fact.
I believe that if he has committed this tax offense knowingly against my payroll that there is a good possibility that he has done this knowingly to others in the past, and that he will commit the crime in the future against other employees.
I am uncertain if the owner who is the signer on the payroll checks is knowledgeable about the federal tax laws or is aware that this is happening.
I am requesting that my payroll be corrected as I am EXEMPT, and that my ex-employer be made aware that legally he has until May 16th to provide me with all of my wages that he owes me, as he has no intention of paying me by this time.
I am also requesting that you contact the correct Federal Department and inform them that he has committed the Federal crime of knowingly disregarding the I-9 form that I had completed, and that there is the possibly that he has committed this against past employees. If required, I can provide a copy of the message that he left on my phone, showing that this was intentional, willful, and not accidental.
The manager at Motel 6 in Laramie, WY who left the message on my phone is Larry Payne. His email address is listed as [email protected].
I would like to also advise you that I have witnessed the housekeeping manager removing a gratuity from a room, and that I am aware that she did not clean that room, and that she did not give that gratuity to the housekeeper who cleaned that room.
Thank you,
Sharon Burnette

ripped off
we were asked to leave with no refund, after paying for another night. my daughter rented a room for someone because their id was broken and because of that we were asked to leave. we were treated very rudely and threatened with the police. my husband had to run down towels to take a shower and then the maid came and took them while we were out, without even cleaning our room. we are appalled at the treatment we recieved. i would not reccommend motel 6 to anyone.

room housekeeping
I made reservations prior to arrival and specifically asked for a non smoking room with a king size bed. upon arri I was told I had one of the nicest rooms they had. When we got in our room the smell of cigareets almost knocked us down. Even had ashtray in room. The bed wasn't fully made and no pillow cases on the pillows. The blankets and sheets had burn holes all over. The mattress had hples in it with material hanging out. The smoke detector was hanging loose on the wall. Don't know if it worked or not. WE were totally dissatisfied with the room and left after a few hours because of the listed problems. We were there on Apr 2, 2011 and had rm 109.

Room guarantee worthless
Reserved a Motel 6 room online days ahead, guaranteed it with a credit card, received confirmation via e-mail.

Arrived at 8 p.m. and was told they did not have any rooms.

The online reservation site informs clients can be charged for guaranteed reservations unless cancelled by 6 p.m. I did not cancel, instead driving 14 hours in bad conditions to use the room I assumed I would be charged for.

The clerk's only explanation was: "Lots of people want rooms today."

I am handicapped and had requested a ground-floor, non-smoking room with walk-in shower. She said "because of the weather, all the ground-floor rooms were gone by 3 this afternoon."

Although I have never had a problem with a Motel 6 meeting my needs, I do realize they state they may not be able to comply with special requests. But I at least expect them to have some kind of room when it is guaranteed.

Only after threatening to sleep with my service dog in the lobby, did the clerk finally say she'd find me a room, after which, she told a apparent walk-in in the process of registering that they did not have a room after all.

Despite the 8 p.m. hour, housekeeping hadn't gotten to the room yet. The room was smoking and second-floor with an outdoor staircase.

I wonder if Motel 6 (or at least this one) is double-selling rooms, i.e. peddling reserved rooms after the cancellation deadline in hopes the person who is still financially responsible for the room will not be able to get there.

The only bright spot was a housekeeping employee (Gary), who saw me struggling with my suitcase and cane on the stairs and was quick to insist on helping me.

I usually stay at Motel 6 when I travel, and I know enough not to expect the Ritz. But I do expect to be treated honestly.

Before I use Motel 6 again, I would like them to convince me "guaranteed reservations" is not a joke.

dog bite
on 05/10/10 i was a guest at the motel 6 in evans colorado and was walking toward my room when a man who worked for the motel as maintenace aproached me with a very large bulldog.as he was aprochjng i asked him if his dog would bite and he replied that the dog wouldnt bite so i continued in my direction. when they were within a few feet of me i kinda paused and squated down so that i wouldnt seem like any kind of threat to the dog.when they got within the dogs leash distance
the dog londged at me and bit me on the throat.i went straight to my room so that i could look in the mirror to see how bad my injury was.i was bleeding quite a bit from puncture wounds that were left behind from the bite. blood began to soak my shirt and chest.at that time it occured to me that i had better ask the owners of the dog if it had all its shots.i went to the front desk and spoke with the manager who is the girl freind and co-owner of the dog.i informed her that i had been bitten by their dog and she told me that she thought it was best if i left the property and if i didnt that she would call police and have me removed. i told her to call an ambulance also.the police were called as was the ambulance and i was told by police that the owner who was on the property wanted me to leave.i was treated for my wounds at the greeley hospital.i have tried many times to speak with the owner and he has hung up on me

cleanliness of room
When first walking in the room the smell was not pleasant. it was musty. I looked on the floor when I saw a dead roach.. o.k now im concerned. I look in the bathroom to see a roach running around. OMG. what is going on?? This is Motel 6 that we all see advertised on T.V to be nice and clean and comfortable. Not this one.
I see this red stain running from the shower curtains. I was getting sick not to mention Mad.. we just paid a great amount of $ for this place.
the floors looked unvaccumed. The bedding was awful. old smelly, with cigarrett hole on it. Who is in charge of cleaning this place??please
It was around 11pm. We where just so tired exhausted. All we wanted was rest, not to be on the look out for bugs and things.
Thank God we had our own towels. and pillows. and blankets we just threw over the bed. What a shame.
Not to mention, no military Discount... WHAT!!! what up with that??!!!
who are theses people???

Motel 6.. false advertizment shame on you!!!

sexual harassment
I was a victim of sexual harassment by Mr Fitch and forced to have sex with him behind his wifes back. The bed buds make me itch and Mr Fitch makes my butt itch.

Did not get what I paid for
I was travelling back from Central Kansas to Middle Tennessee on the night of May 12, 2010 and it began storming so I decided to spend the night in Lawrence, KS. I checked in around midnight and was given room 111. When I got to my room there was a lot of noise in the room above me. I had to go get some toiletries so I left for an hour. I came back and there was still noise above me. I tried to sleep but it was extremely loud, not just a bump or two but it sounded like there was fighting or remodeling going on above me. I called the front desk, and the attendant told me that he had been having problems with them all night.

At about 2AM I called back and asked to be moved to another room aftet the noise did not abate at all. The attendant said he could not move me, but he would make them be quiet. The people above me then began intentionally banging on their floor. At 3:30AM I had enough and decided to go somewhere else. I packed my bags and went to the front desk to check out and get my money back. He then said he would prepare a room somewhere else for me. I told him that I wanted a refund. He refused. When I went to leave he said he could do $10 off the room. I did not find that acceptable, I wanted a refund because I paid for a room to sleep in, which they did not provide. It was impossible for any person to sleep in that room with a party going on upstairs. The attendant told me that they had rented adjoining rooms above me to have a party. But he still placed me in a room below theirs when I checked in.

When I was loading my car two police cars pulled into the hotel. I am guessing either the attendant or another guest called the police on the party above me.
