Refused to Rent- No reason given
I stayed at this Motel 6 location for a week, and for the most part was satisfied. There was an issue with housekeeping- when they cleaned the room they just changed the sheets and mopped. They just set towels and toilet paper on the bed as well as a huge plastic bag. When I called to ask if they were finished, they said yeah- and we put stuff in there for you to clean. It was a bit frustrating that they didn't take out the trash- just left it. Whatever though- I can take out trash myself.

After a week of renting they said I was now on their "do not rent" list. I asked why, and was not given an answer. I understand a motel can refuse service for any reason, but I find it unprofessional to refuse to rent without giving an explanation. If I did something wrong, I would like to correct it so I don't have a problem at the next place I go to.

FYI- I have stayed at a number of Motel 6 locations across the country and have never had an issue.

Stinky place
I noticed this motel 6 allows pet; My issue refer to the dogs that are allowed to roam the property without a leash. These dogs are allow to poop any place on the property. You can see this and smell poop all over the property, in front of rooms, close to what they call a laundry room area, (then the flies) I also noticed the smell of illegal drugs in the area. This motel is not about genuine customer service. It is easy for this motel to get away with this type of service if most of the guests checks-in during the late evening(you are too tired to look around). Daylight does show the true light.

Horrible, filthy
The worst ever!! Began in Room 122. No internet-no remote control-mising light bulbs-broken desk-carpet & walls awful. Complained. Moved to Room 203.

Worse! Really filthy. Walls appeared to have been sprayed with something (beer or dark soda)with large drip marks on every wall. No phone-no frig-no microwave-smoke detector off the ceiling and sitting on desk-filthy and frayed carpet-internet extremely slow and off more than on (could not use).

We felt very uncomfortable and did not want to even sleep in the bed. Very loud yelling outside our room until very late. We wanted to ask for a refund; but, we were sure the flustered clerk wouldn't have known how to do that. We left extremely early. We would like a refund. Never go there!

BAD SERVICE
IT STARTED WHEN WE CHECKED IN NO TOWELS, ROOM WAS NOT CLEANED, BUT THE MAIN COMPLAINT IS THAT WOULD NOT LET MY WIFE & MY SELF HAVE NO COFFE TILL 7:00 AM AND IT WAS 6:55AM OUR ROOM WAS AT THE END & ON 3 FLOOR THAY SAID THAT WAS THE ONLY FOOR LEFT BUT THERE WAS ONLY A FEW CARS IN THE PARKING LOT!

I REALLY THINK IT WAS A RACIAL THING IF I COULD DO MORE I WOULD

THEY TREAT YOU LIKE TRASH
I CHECKED INTO THE HOTEL, AND THE ROOM HEATER DID NOT WORK. I THEN, CALLED THE FRONT DESK TO HAVE THEM SEND A MAINTANCE MAN. THEY SENT HIM TO THE WRONG ROOM, AND AFTER FREEZING FOR 45 MINUTES, I THEN CALLED THE FRONT DESK, AND THEY INFORMED ME THEY SENT HIM TO THE WRONG ROOM. AFTER HE FINALLY ARRIVED A HOUR LATER, HE SAID THAT THEY WERE GOING TO REPLACE THE WHOLE UNIT. I HAVE CURRENTLY BEEN WAITING FOR 2.5 HOURS, AND NOTHING STILL HAS NOT BEEN DONE.
I CALLED THE FRONT DESK, AND THE HOTEL CLERK HUNG UP ON ME.

Awful place
Up to speed: Seaside, Oregon, Motel 6 Manager, XXX, inferred that my wife is a prostitute and I a drug dealer by - illegally, I believe - putting us on his nefarious Do Not Rent list without cause. So after 8 months of trying to get our good names cleared without success, I sued him in Small Claims Court for $5, 000. He and his attorney, XXX, bullied me and filed a frivolous counter suit for $100, 000 taking it out of Small Claims Court and into Circuit Court, forcing me to hire an attorney to defend myself against him!

O.K., Now XXX & my attorney are discussing dismissing the case and having both parties sign a stipulated injunction which would prevent either of us from posting anything (on consumer complaint sites (like this one) regarding the other party. No money would trade hands. However, I would be required to deposit some money, probably a couple thousand, as security to ensure that I do not breach the agreement. If after a year I have not breached the agreement, I would get the money back. If I breach the agreement, the money would go to XXX.

Stay away
If any of you veterans out there are planning on visiting Seaside, Oregon for Veterans Day, the Motel 6 there is a pretty nice place to stay, it's economical and you can bring your pet.

But my wife and I were barred from ever staying there without any reason given. It may have been the manager is an anti-war guy and didn't like my Viet Nam Veteran license plate holder.

If you do stay there, I would really appreciate it if you would ask them about that and let me know.

rude staff/security/poor up-keep
This place is a zoo, children running around with no supervision, rude staff, and property that looks like a third world country. And when you BUY there internet card you are continously kicked off line.
And do not expect anything to get repared in your room, because english is not an opion.
I plan not to stay at another as long as I live.

Poor service, attempted ripoff, dirty rooms
1. Billing-initially billed for full duration of stay ($342.67), stayed two nights at quoted rate of $59.99 (7/2/09) and $62.99 (7/3/09). Refunded $204.93 for unused nights on 7/4/09 upon checkout. Received call from Mike Ysassi on 7/4/09 requesting additional approx. $74 due to their help desk stating that we'd been refunded "too much". Called Mike on 7/5/09, then corporate customer relations, verified $204.93 was correct refund amount, and that this amount had been refunded *and* no further transactions would be forthcoming for this stay.
2. Reported following complaints:
a. Poor condition of motel
b. Poor attitude/rudeness of employees, including Mike leaving the phone off the hook for over 4 hours, blocking incoming calls.
c. Multiple problems with nonfunctional keycards, leading to custodian ("Leroy") giving us the master keycard at one point.
d. Poor cleanliness (trash in room that was never removed, existed prior to check-in; bad smell/odors in room and common areas; strong scent of marijuana in hallways.
e. Loud noise unaddressed on night of 7/2/09, lasting into the early morning of 7/3/09.

Ripped off
Was told to come by at 530 am to get the the room for the night, paid 225 bucks for two nights and this was on a Thursday morning then got kicked out on Friday! They then threatened to call the cops on me and had all my shit in a bin. It was some fat butch chick that did it. Very very very dissapointed. Plus one of the beds had sand in it and stunk really bad . Don't get screwed stay away I wish I could get them back.
