Having bought the Moto Droid 6 months ago, I am completely put off to future products after how cheap the slide out keyboard it. I am already on my 3rd phone, needing a 4th replacement as we speak. Verizon is now hassling me despite all my problems being the same as the others.
The problem I have had with the Moto Droid is from the keyboard. They have two styles, a flush keyboard and a raised keyboard. I have had the raised keyboard twice and the flush keyboard once and every time after about 4-6 weeks the keyboard starts to fall apart.
What happens is the keyboard bubbles up. Its like the whole keypad is one giant sticker over a set of buttons. Overtime that sticker starts to come loose and raise up, causing the whole thing to have a bubble effect. What it does is now when i press down one key it stick, and sometimes multiple keys press down. You can see all the keys press down whenever you press down one individual key, and it makes it hard to type and often frustrating.
Needless to say, for those who like the idea of the Droid because of the slide out keyboard, be forewarned. The keyboard may end up driving you crazy when it starts to peel apart like that after a matter of weeks.
