I bought a vehicle in August of 2009. John the owner tried telling me I wouldn't even need to purchase a warranty because the car was in perfect condition and that I would be wasting my money. I wanted it anyway and made sure they wrote it in my purchase agreement. I needed a few parts traded out which they did a week later. During that week I noticed my driver side window wasn't working right. John said he would fix it. Now it is March and I'm still getting the run around. After having the car for 2 months my husband noticed a huge crack in the rear end. I brought the car in and even John's mechanic said it had to have been there long before we bought the car. John tried to tell me I never purchased the warranty. Thankfully, I had them write it in the purchase aggreement! He didn't want to do it so I had to contact a lawyer for him to budge a finger. So that got fixed. While there, Tim the mechanic tore my door apart looking for the broken part of my door, found it and ordered it. They said they would call when the part came in, I never heard back from them. I called them a month later, they told me the part must have gotten lost. Now John's trying to tell me he doesn't remember anything about my window. Funny how he only "remembers" things that will benefit him! He said he won't fix my window now because he's already spent too much money on my car, which tells me he probably never sent in my warranty and had to pay out of pocket, what a jerk!

Motor Cars of Lansing has terrible customer service, never call you back when they say, unless you threaten with a lawyer, and they lie about everything!

By the way their new website is a joke! The photos they have on the site aren't even their lot, and the "staff photo" is not their staff. They are probably some pics they found online somewhere. Their lot is tiny, with what appear to be nice cars, but are actually peices of crap! The building is a hole in the wall with dogs and their kid running around. Oh yea, and if you think you're only gonna stop in for a minute, plan on being there for 1-2 hours, no joke.

I'm not usually a vengeful person, but I've never felt so screwed over in all my life. John walks around like he is the cats meow and cares about everybody, but really he only cares until you buy a car from him then he is a greedy asshole that doesn't give a rip about anybody but himself. A liar!
