Can't get an acceptable response
I refer to my previous complaint about the finance approval on an application my son in law made for finance for a car, and suppliers response that he should contact the dealer. On Monday he handed in my daughter's bank statemnts as well, and contacted the dealer the next day, who said MFC were offline. The following day they said they were waiting for a 'certain lady ' had to approve it and would come back to them. The dealer has not contacted him since and it is now a week since he was supposed to collect the car. He is totally fed up now, and asked the dealer to find out from MFC exactly what they needed for him to get the finance approved. If they required a bigger deposit he would be prepared to sell the car he has in a hurry to give it to them or anything else they may require, he would try to arrange it. He really wants this car! We can only assume the bank have not come back to them as yet. I do have his ID number if someone from MFC will contact me. It is very difficult for youngsters to try and sort this stuff out as they are not familiar with all the practices and requirements. That is why I offered to help him with this. I hope you will contact me urgently.

It can take 30 mins for the call center to answer
What a week! What frustration! What terrible service! What a waste of my time! I wanted to sell my car which was financed by MFC. I still owed money, so MFC did a manual debit order for the balance outstanding. I had a warranty with S A Warranties which I cancelled and this money was credited to my MFC account. I then discovered the refund was credited after the debit order for the settlement had been arranged. The debit order couldn't be stopped, so I was told to organise a refund from MFC. Ja, right... When I called to request the refund. I was told I'd have to wait 14 days as I could reverse the debit order. I called my attorney who said I should ask my bank for a letter confirming the debit order had gone through my account and ask S A Warranties for proof of payment . This info was faxed and mailed to MFC. The call centre just rang... I was eventually told there was a 21 day clearance as the money had come from a 3rd party. At this stage I called the MD of MFC. Needless to say he was unavailable and has not returned my call. Attitude to customers starts at the top... Eventually I got hold of Fetch, the only star in this saga, who organised the refund.

Ridiculous interest rate
I have financed 3 vehicles with MFC in the past. Recently my finance was approved for the 4 vehicle BUT the interest rate they gave me is totally rediculious. On my previous vehicle my interest rate stood at 11.5% and the prime is 10%. My finance was approved on the 8042010 with a wapping interest rate of 16%. Im a valued customer for the past 4 years. I have conducted my account diligently with MFC. I cant understand why MFC would grant me such a rediculious interest rate. Im seriously disappointed in there service and yet im a valued customer for many years. I would honestly like to keep my account with MFC BUT they need to meet half way. The prime rate is sitting on 10% im willing to settle for prime PLUS 1 OR even prime for that matter. If MFC can meet me half way i know we will have many more years of business.

Incorrect payment information
I have paid up my account over three months ago but still shows as owing. It shows that I owe R5315 and a monthly installment of R1763. This obviously increases my commitment both overall and monthly by the two amounts and as such affects my ability to access credit. I have been trying to solve this and everytime I get sent a proof of settlement which I cannot use to clear this incorrect information because, as said by the credit bureau, MFC updates this data. Where should I go to get this Fixed. CAN SOMEONE AT MFC PLEASE WAKE UP AND DO SOME WORK?

De-registration of vehicle
I had an accident on 17 April 2008. A R.A.M. courier driver sped through a red robot and collided with my vehicle and sent me spinning. My vehicle was written off a week later and I am STILL waiting for MFC to de-register the vehicle so that the insurance can settle the car and I can buy a new one!!! The insurance company want the de-registration papers first and MFC wont de-register the vehicle until the Insurance have settled it. In the meantime, I dont have transport and am still liable for the payments for a vehicle that was been written off!!!
